Beautiful home in the Landmark Historic District of Savannah. Downstairs you will find a living room, kitchen and half bathroom + great back porch/garden. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, a nice full bathroom. Third floor bonus room (loft style third bedroom) with television, desk and Queen bed. Parking is free and easy on the public street.
The kitchen is equipped for those who love to cook, and has a great gas cooktop. Gas barbecue outdoors too for those who want to grill out.
The original heart of pine flooring, high ceilings and great outdoor space make this home truly great. Still as solid as the day it was built in 1861, you can experience staying in a historic home with modern comforts including a gourmet gas cooktop.
Neighborhood overview
This is a quiet residential street within the one square mile Historic District. You are half a mile from Forsyth Park and just over half a mile from the Riverfront.
Getting around
You would not need a car to stay here and explore Savannah. This city was built before cars and was designed perfectly for walking. If you are tired or it is dark outside you can take Uber or Taxis or many other transportation options even Pedi Cabs or a trolley
Gas fireplace!
You may use one dedicated parking spot in back off alley in presenting the property. Any extra cars should park on the street.
Parking is free on the public street but you will need to swap sides once a week for the sweep nights which are posted on small street signs. Failing to swap sides for that weekly street cleaner time slot results in a ticket. There is always somewhere to leave your car parked overnight for free. Is moving the car before sweep night difficult to accomplish? Not in the slightest. Is it easy to forget? Certainly! Just read the signs posted every 10 yards or so along every street.
We provide sheets for the 2 beds, bath towels and toilet paper. We do not provide food or grocery items.

Beautiful home in quiet neighborhood
Beautiful home located in a quiet neighborhood. Home was clean and stocked with amenities. You can easily walk to many points of interest in downtown Savannah from the home. Mary was gracious and prompt when answering messages. Definitely will be back to stay on our next visit to Savannah.
Girls Weekend
We had such a great girls weekend ! A perfect place in a perfect location!
Amazing home
The home is amazing. Great location, you can walk everywhere in Historic Savannah from there. Quite Neighborhood and very cozy backyard. The back parking was great to have when the street sweepers came. Be careful on the stairs, they are very steep and very slick. Great bedrooms and kitchen had everything you could need. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Perfect for bridal party getaway
We took my best friend to Savannah for a bridal party getaway before her wedding. We enjoyed this house so much! For the coffee lovers out there that back porch is every bit as perfect as it looks for coffee and conversation at the start of your day. The house is very clean, beautiful from one end to the other, and was a perfect distance for us to be able to walk every where we needed to go! The house is located in a beautiful area and we never felt unsafe walking at night. The Hop On Hop Off Trolley tour also has a stop very near the house. After a day in Savannah, you can hop back on the trolley like we did and it will drop you in very close walking distance to the house. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the home from start to finish was just warm and welcoming. This is the kind of vacation house that feels like a home and is so well-equipped you won't need to worry about not having something you need. We were so pleased with the house and we would stay again! Staying here definitely added to our trip!
Historical home with modern interior
This place was sweet! Amazing price in an even better location. Beautiful historical home with modern interior. Plenty of room for all guests.
Wonderful house with porch
Great location! Even though parking was street parking it was no problem. Actually only took the car out once. Walked everywhere. The house was comfortable and it had a wonderful back porch, which we used alot. All in all a great stay and loved Savannah!!
Fantastic house with great space
Marys house is exactly as you see it in the pictures and was a great value for the space we had! Fantastic house with great space, easy walking distance to the river for shops and eating and when it was raining the Uber was less than $10. Five adults fit more than comfortably here. Highly recommend this place and this city! Will definitely be back, thanks for a great experience!
Fantastic Option
A fantastic option for those wishing to visit Savannah. We stayed five days, and walked everywhere (we didn't need a car). This house (with back porch and garden) was great for us as we were traveling with our son. All other options in this price range were small apartments. Having a whole house gave us space to spread out and our son space to play when it rained (only one day - but the covered porch was such a treat).
Great Stay
We stayed at the house for a long weekend to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday and run the Rock 'n Roll Marathon with two of her friends. All the areas we wished to see were in walking distance of the house with only a couple Uber rides needed after the girls ran their race. The house was perfect for the weekend and give us great flexibility in both exploring the City and also enjoying some cocktails on the back porch. The kitchen was large and gave us opportunities to cook and enjoy some pre/post dinner cocktails while enjoying dinner and company. The house was very clean and well stocked and Mary was great with the reservation as well as check-in and check-out process.
