Mary provided great service and quick responses when needed. The apt is just wonderful and such a perfect location! Everything was as advertised and the apt was really just like being at home, albeit in a place built in 1853 and modernized. We LOVED it. We cannot recommend this place more. So close to so many of the squares, including Forsyth (which you must visit). Close to the Mercer house. Great walks around. Walking distance to all the happening spots (about a mile of easy and beautiful walking). Street parking much easier to find this far away from the happening spots - we always parked very close to the apt. Overall - AWESOME! We'll be back again!
Wonderful place fot st Patricks weekend
A wonderful place, located across Chatham Park, one of the many parks in Downtown. The place was spotless, well decorated, and very cozy. Mary is an excellent host, and accommodated our special request with no hesitation. We were close to everything, walked a lot! There is absolutely no shortage of food, shopping, and bars. The festivities were fun, we watched The Greening of the Forsyth Park Fountain, the Celtic Cross parade, and many more. Parking in Downtown is a bit crazy, but get a Day (or 2 day) Pass, it's worth it if your staying during the week; weekends are free!
Cozy and nice
The location was great, the place was great, For an old apartment it was very cozy and very nice , This was our first experience with Airbnb and hopefully when we go back to Savannah the next time we can get the same place, Marys place.
Gorgeous historic apartment on a charming block
A truly gorgeous historic apartment on a charming block. Looking through the apartment windows out at the square and tree-lined street is something out of a dream! The house is furnished beautifully and within walking distance to Forsyth Park & plenty of great restaurants + shops. Even though the house doesn't have a designated parking spot, street parking was not an issue for us - we were there two nights and routinely got a spot directly across from the house. We had a great stay - thanks so much!
Charming and comfortable
This place is wonderful. Very charming and comfortable. It's in a beautiful and very safe location and it's easy to walk to the downtown areas or take the free DOT (there's a stop right around the corner!). Check-in and check out is very easy and Mary was incredibly accommodating and great with communication. I highly recommend!
A perfect location and space
A perfect location and space. Charming classic Savannah row home converted to an apartment. great indoor space but let's be honest, you came for Savannah. just a 15 walk to the river historic district, where all your favorite spots are. only 10 minutes from Forsyth park where there is a farmers market Saturday mornings. best of all, look out the front window and Chatham square is right there.
Old world charm with modern amenities
Absolutely fell in love with Savannah while staying here! You really get the full Savannah experience. The place has old world charm with all of the modern amenities to make you feel at home. The best part was we could walk to EVERYTHING which was the best way to explore the city. We will definitely be returning!
A dream come true!
Perch was a dream come true! When in Savannah, this is the place to stay-especially for my first time. My mother and I had a wonderful weekend and I have trouble describing our feelings except that it was like we were living in Savannah! The location, the apartment and design was so cohesive to a true experience. Loved every minute. Mary was so helpful and patient with us as we navigated our travel plans the day Hurricane Florence was (and did) scheduled to hit to the East Coast!! So glad we ventured over and were spared (my thoughts to those who were hit). Mary was also quick and responsive throughout or stay as questions popped up. Again, hard to express without gushing, but if you want a true “living in” Savannah experience this is the place to stay. I can’t wait to come back and stay at the Perch.
We loved the location with a beautiful view of Chatham square -simply charming! We even saw a beautiful wedding in the square! The air B and B was perfect size a sitting room with a bedroom both with lovely fireplaces and flat screen TVs. A small kitchen with all u needed. Fridge microwave full size stove and oven and dishes. Also a washer and dryer should you need it. It was elegant lovely and clean —beautiful and comfortable king size bed too Also with a notebook with great restaurant suggestions. We loved star land cafe. And mate factor to name only a few. My husband jogged every day at Forsythe park and I walked to the gym on Broughton every day! Loved it!
