Clean and nice. The AC worked great! We definitely needed that. Cute place just perfect for two.
Loved our Stay
This lil cottage Is perfect for a lil weekend getaway! Very cute and in a very safe place! Within walking distance to all accommodations in Savannah! Will definitely be staying here again
Perfect Historical Cottage
We absolutely LOVED the historical cottage. Gorgeous safe neighborhood. The private courtyard was our favorite! We used it every day! Short drive or 6-10 min walk from everything. Always parking on the street. Mary was super nice + communicative. The cottage itself was beautiful. Perfect for a couple but no more. Very clean. We felt very safe. 10/10 recommend!
This was the cutest cottage. Just enough room for two people. Very convenient location, we were able to walk everywhere! Extremely clean and welcoming. Also felt very safe there. 10/10 would recommend and would definitely stay there my next trip to Savannah!
We enjoyed our week in Savannah at 535 E Charlton. The room is quite comfortable, clean, and conveniently located within easy walking distance from DOT, the free transportation shuttle. Cute decor and every thing you need in an efficient package. The property manager was so helpful and easy to contact. Loved it!
A very cpmfortable, well-located cottage on the edge of the historical district. Easy walking distance to the entire historic district. Cozy, comfortable and reasonably priced. A great bargain!
We were very happy with the location of this cottage. It was perfect from the moment we entered the door! It was very clean and had everything that we needed. The location could not have been any better. We walked to everything! We look forward to returning some day.
Joan and I throughly enjoyed our visit here in the Cottage! It is perfect and very Romantic getaway. The cottage had everything a couple needs to enjoy Savannah and the location is on one of the most beautiful streets in America 🤗Mary was a perfect host and made sure we were comfortable during our wonderful stay. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!
We really loved this property! It was a cute little cottage! We were able to walk everywhere in the Historic District...so convenient! Great location and nice place for a couple to stay for a weekend getaway!
My husband and I only had two days and two nights in Savannah. Staying at Tiny Cottage 535 only enhanced the great time we had in our short stay. The cottage was clean and cozy with all the amenities needed. We were able to take in several sites and dine and shop throughout the city because of the close proximity of our lodging. We walked to everything - parked our car on Jones St and never started it until we had to leave. The cottage is in a perfect location and allowed us to walk and admire all the historic mansions in the area. Mary was easily available by text - we would rent through Savannah Luxury Rentals again!
We visit Savannah at least 2 times each year. In the fall for my wife’s birthday and in the spring for the tour of homes. We have stayed in a variety of locations over the past 15 years (B&B’s, hotels, and VRBO). The cottage was in a good location, Jones Street is very picturesque, and is a short walk to all of the typical attractions in the historic district. The cottage was cozy, about the size of a typical hotel room. It would be easy to spend more than a long weekend there having the functional kitchen and laundry. We will plan to stay there on future trips to Savannah.
If you are looking for the epitome of luxurious accommodations keep looking. If you want a quaint, clean, and historical place to stay on the best street in Savannah this property is for you. The area is safe and the neighbors are extremely friendly. We loved the property and will stay there again on our next visit.
Perfect little spot for my daughter and I during our stay in Savannah. Everything we needed from a comfy bed to a cozy couch to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. Needed to contact manager prior to arrival and they promptly and kindly helped us with our needs. Hope to be back some day soon.
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay in this small Carriage House off of Jones street. Jones street was the most beautiful street in Savannah and within great walking distance of many attractions in the historic district. I recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxed and coxy Savannah getaway.
We had a wonderful stay! The tiny cottage was adorable and on a beautiful Savannah street. We could easily walk to everything in the historic disctrict and we loved having breakfast in the courtyard. The cottage included many great restaurant recommendations and had basic toiletries. We’d definitely stay here again.
This historic cottage has everything you need to stay in historic downtown Savannah. Nicely renovated, in walking distance to all the stores and shops downtown,..And in a safe comfortable location. I Will definitely be returning customer!
It is truly a "tiny" cottage, but perfect for a one-weeklong visit; close to beautiful historic downtown Savannah (located in a walk-around neighborhood - Kroger store with a Starbucks within walking distance). The cottage is a clean, compact place with a Queen bed alcove, TV, small kitchen, and full bath with stack laundry unit. Bed is comfortable. TV is in a somewhat awkward place (would have been perfect if it had been on a swivel wall fixture, so TV could be turned to be better seen from both bed and loveseat), but includes a great package of Exfinity channels and free wifi. Place is in a secluded, but secure, physical location with cute attached courtyard for sitting or eating outside. Pleasant and attentive owner. Served our purposes well.
Owner Response
The TV actually is on a swivel wall fixture. I am so sorry this guest did not realize that. It can be turned toward the bed or toward the love seat.
I decided to take my first solo vacation and there was no other choice for me but Savannah. I found this cabin and thought it was adorable, booked it. The moment I walked in I was thrilled it is small, but perfect in every way. It does not feel tight, the bed is comfortable, the pull out table is so cute and perfect for a lap top and working. Had I brought a second person with me it would have been a perfect romantic place to stay. I loved it and plan to book again in December.
My sister and I rented this cottage for Labor Day weekend for a roomie trip. This cottage was the perfect fit for the 2 of us. Couldn’t have had a better time & would definitely recommend this little cottage away from downtown to friends & family!
The cottage was the perfect location for exploring Savannah. Every part of the city was easily walkable and reachable from its location. It was completely clean and comfortable, would definitely choose to stay there again!
My girlfriend and I fell in love with the place as soon as we entered. Tons of charm and character in an efficient space. Perfect for a couple. It had everything you would need on a vacation and we were glad to be able to use the washer/dryer before leaving. We absolutely would rent this place again in the future. The only downsides were that the shower is pretty small, height was not an issue but the curtain stuck to me most of the time. The WiFi was pretty much useless, seemed to have great signal strength to a range extender, which likely had extremely poor connection to the main router. We were better off not even using it. I ended up using a ton of my data plan without realizing it by uploading pictures and viewing others of wedding festivities we were in town for.
Owner Response
So glad you loved the place! Most of our guests have no issues using the wifi which also functions in the courtyard. Future guests try resetting the booster (unplug it and plug it back in) if you have any issues staying connected.
It was comfortable and had everything we needed. Good walking distance from everywhere we wanted to go. We had a great time staying here and Mary was super quick and helpful when responding to our questions. Would definitely stay here again.
The Tiny Cottage was everything I expected. The cottage was very charming and equipped with everything necessary for a weekend stay. The cottage was very clean and located in a prime location; close to River Street. I would highly recommend this location to any single person or couple. The cottage was in a safe neighborhood, and it was easy to uber around Savannah.
We absolutely loved our stay in June 2016. We were able to walk to everything. For some it might be too much. But we like walking Savannah. We enjoyed our 7 year anniversary trip. If we come back just us this place is definitely on our list!
Tiny Cottage was in a nice, easy to find, quiet, tree lined neighborhood. The bed is comfortable, the linens are of good quality, the towels lush, the amenities sufficient and the hot water in the shower plentiful! Parking in front of the cottage was a breeze every day. I drove to the historic area in less than 10 mins. and parked close to center of town so I could walk everywhere. Communicating with Mary was easy and she responded quickly.
This was an awesome place to stay! It’s close enough to walk to restaurants and attractions in the Historic District in Savannah. The room is charming and well decorated. The kitchen was well stocked for any needs. We ate out for most meals but any meal could have been prepared. The bed was super comfy and we had no problems with the WiFi or AC. We had a perfect two-night stay and can’t wait to visit again!
It is a treasure hunt to find the cottage but it was completely worth it. The place is very clean. The pictures don’t show how cute it is. The bed is the perfect mix of firm and soft, great place to take a nap after walking all day. There are plenty of towels & soap was provided as a nice extra! The white notebook has a lot suggested places to check out. I would highly recommend this cottage.

It made me so happy to hear this guests appreciated the historic tiny cottage and our personal touches!
Loved the space & location! Perfect place for me to explore Savannah. I was able to walk everywhere, to restaurants, historic homes, shopping, squares and the river walk. The outdoor patio was an added plus, so lovely and a perfect space to review the day with a glass of wine !
My husband and I stayed here several days and loved every minute of it. It's perfect for two people. We loved that it was within walking distance to everything in Savannah that we wanted to do. The house was clean and cozy, we would absolutely stay here again.
We felt right at home, safe and sound, in this tiny cottage in downtown Savannah! It is located in the perfect area for walking around in the historic district which is what we came for! For only 500 square feet it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable and the shower was nice too!
We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy cottage. All the sights we wanted to see were within walking distance. The small kitchen was perfect for making coffee and breakfast in the morning. It was great!
This place was cute and just big enough for my husband and I. We were able to walk everywhere and didn’t have to use the truck very often. The only problem we had was the bathroom light the light socket on the left was not working correctly but we took the bulb out and it seemed fine. Our overall trip was awesome and we would definitely use this cottage again

We fixed the bathroom light
Perfect for two people on a weekend getaway who will only use the space to sleep. It is walking distance to shops/dining on Liberty St. It is a very small space but has all the essentials. Location is great. My husband and I walked everywhere. Quiet and quaint neighborhood. Only negative I have was the smell of the city water. Whenever we showered or ran the faucet we noted a fowl after smell almost like sewage? Anyways total recommend and Mary is very easy to get ahold of and quick with responses! Gave great recommendations for restaurants!
Owner Response
The water does not smell bad at this cottage. This is on the city public water system. Occasionally comments like that appear in reviews on other homes and it seems random so we assume the paper mill smell could be the culprit or perhaps something else out of our control but it is not a typical comment. The city water in Savannah is actually pretty good compared to many other cities.
My husband and I stayed at Mary's cottage and it was absolutely adorable! We are typically not very picky people, so this cottage was the perfect size (about the size of a hotel room) with it's own charm and character. The kitchenette was nice and it is right off of Jones street, which is just a few blocks from everything! I would recommend just taking a stroll down Jones to see how beautiful that street is. It was perfect for us because we could walk to all the tourist areas, but then have quiet downtime at the cottage. The only downside was the shower; it was very tight! Regardless, I would definitely recommend and would stay here again!
Great location for access to the historic district of Savannah. Surrounded by beautiful architecture and trees. Great for a couple to enjoy. Only negative Isee is parking which I see to be a theme around the whole city. Great experience overall.
I've been meaning to get to this review since returning from a road trip early last month. The Tiny Cottage is lovely and it's location ideal. The cottage is tastefully decorated; the updates and special touches make it very comfortable. The was our first time ever to visit Savannah and the recommendations and advice left for visitors was very much appreciated! The owners are promptly responsive to contact and the pictures don't do it justice-including the courtyard area! Would be happy to stay here again and highly recommend it-thanks too, for allowing the payment to be split-that really helped our planning budget!
It was tiny, but spot on for what we needed for a few days. The walk to downtown was beautiful through the different parks. We didn't pay for parking and walk several different routes and explored the area. It was great! Thanks!
My partner and I stayed here for a long weekend getaway and it was absolutely perfect. The cottage is on a quiet lane within walking distance to everything, including all of the sites and Kroger. It's also very clean and adorably decorated with a really comfortable bed! We didn't have a car with us and didn't feel like we needed it at all. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in Savannah and will absolutely recommend it to friends!
This cottage was adorable and perfect for two people on a weekend trip. We would come back again in a heartbeat! Thanks to Mary for creating such a cozy, warm, and inviting space.
Owner Response
Wow thank you so much for such a nice review! This is exactly the reaction I hope to get from my guests at this unique little residence. -Mary
What a great place for a couple to runaway to in Savannah! Immaculately clean, tastefully decorated, and convenient to all in the historic district. The courtyard was an added bonus, as it was the perfect place to enjoy a book and the spring weather. Will put this on my "must return to" list!
The property was perfect for our needs - great space in a convenient location, close and very walk-able. Everything was clearly communicated and the welcome binder was a great touch to help us get acquainted with Savannah. My only reservation was that it was a bit too noisy for our preference at night, but that's no fault of the property.
My wife and I stayed at this cute duplex during the week leading up to St. Patrick's Day. The neighborhood is lovely. Jones Street is wonderful, while Charlton Lane (alley), not so much. Most things were within a 10 minute walk. Some restaurants, shops & attractions were within 5 minutes. The walks were very pleasant, because of the architecture, squares and blooming shrubs & plants (Spring). This cottage is part of a duplex and shares a spacious courtyard with the the main house. The cottage along with the courtyard is just spacious enough for two adults. There is a love seat, comfortable bed, tiny fridge, apartment-size range/oven, full-size above-range microwave, dishes, glasses, flatware and cookware. Everything you would need is provided. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious. However, the shower is too small. The stacked washer/dryer, while convenient, takes up space that could've been used for a larger shower. There is a nice size reach-in closet with chest of drawers for clothes storage. The decor is simple and very tasteful. It was quite chilly the week (March 12-16, 2017) we were there. There is central heat/air. This place is old, like most buildings in Savannah. This place has lots of character. The two exterior doors in the cottage are vintage but drafty. The only thing I'd change, other than the shower, is the addition of curtains on the windows in the living area and bathroom. These windows have mini blinds that don't offer enough privacy. Simple, medium density curtains would greatly improve the privacy. Everyone loved the photos of the cottage we posted on Facebook. They thought it looked charming and romantic!!
Great weekend getaway for my wife and I over New Years weekend. Very charming decor and perfect in size for the two of us. It really was in walking distance from pretty much all the hot spots in downtown Savannah...left our car parked the whole wknd. If we ever get the opportunity to do another getaway to Savannah this place will be at the top of our list!
Excellent location. Very clean and comfortable. Just right for two people. Mary has done a super job of decorating and stocking the place. The combo washer and dryer was great to have.
My boyfriend and I absolutely loved this cottage! It is in a perfect location within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go. The owners have everything you need to make you feel at home and provide you with a book of recommendations of places to eat/visit during your stay. Great deal for the price and perfect for 2 people. We will definitely choose this same cottage if we make another trip to Savannah!
The cottage we rented was small yet quaint and had everything we needed, including a cute courtyard. It was in a great location. It was a bit confusing to find as there was a street and basically an alley with the same name but the directions were great and we figured it out easily. Mary was very easy to work with and responded to messages very quickly. She even had several area brochures available for us to check out, including favorite places to eat which was very helpful! It was all helpful and we had a great stay in Savannah!
My husband and I stayed here on the last few days of our honeymoon. Finding the place was a little hard but once we got there it was great! It has a small kitchen, a washer and dryer and plenty of room for 2 people. The laundry was very helpful since we had suitcases full of mainly dirty clothes, and since this was our last stop we got to do laundry. We also used the kitchen each morning to make breakfast. Nothing fancy but after eating at restaurants for 8 days we really just wanted some eggs and fruit. A couple things to keep in mind- Location- You should look for an alley not an actual street. I guess it is a street but it looks very much like an alley. While it is in walking distance to many things know that it is a 10-15 minute walk at least. The property itself- Yes, this building is very old and the foundation is not level by any means. If you have vertigo issues or get the "fun house" effect easily then you need to be aware that this property will aggravate those things. I have, at times, debilitating vertigo and when I first walked in I got really unsettled and had to lay down for a time. After the first few hours though my body adjusted and I was able to feel relatively stable for the rest of our stay. Just something to be aware of!
This tiny cottage was perfect for our stay in Savannah. It was cute, clean, and comfortable and within walking distance to all the shops, restaurants and sights downtown. I would definitely stay here again!
The space was very cute and homey. It was on the end of a pretty quiet street and was a 25 minute stroll from River Street. Along the walk there were plenty of things to see and do. I would definitely recommend my friends to stay here. Our next trip we will definitely try to book this place again.
Cottage was cute & very well-decorated! Adorable little place within walking distance to downtown Savannah & Forsyth Park. Owner supplies all necessary items for a comfortable stay, including laundry detergent & nice dish soap! We felt that he bed was a little uncomfortable & the trash can in the kitchen was small.
Very Nice Place To Stay
My wife and I just stayed at this "Tiny Cottage" for 4 days and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was clean, well appointed, and convenient to all we wanted to do in Historic Savannah. Mary was very responsive to questions and a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend this site, and Mary Anderson. John and Jo Giacovelli

We had an amazing time in Savannah and loved our stay at this tiny historical cottage! We could walk easily to every place we wanted to go. It is located in a great part of town, so we always felt safe walking to and from the cottage no matter what time of day or night. The cottage is little and cute and completely self contained! The owner was very accommodating and helpful with information about staying at the cottage and the neighborhood! It was very clean, with plenty of towels and space in the kitchen. I loved the access to the washer and dryer. The bed was super comfortable and the whole place just felt good and welcoming. I would have liked a little place (maybe in the closet by the bed) where I could have unpacked my clothes a little bit, but I have to say this place was so charming and wonderful, it really didn't bother me. What a great time and location! We both said we would stay at this property again! LOVED IT!
Tiny cottage provided my wife and me with a clean, convenient, affordable option just a few blocks from our daughter's apartment. Thanks for the tip on the Mate Factor - baked goods and drinks were terrific!
The little cottage was great for our weekend getaway. The host was accommodating and very quick with response time and logistical solutions. The property is conveniently located in Savannah, walkable to everywhere with lots of restaurants nearby. The space was clean and adorable. The record player and dvds were a very nice touch. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
This is AWESOME. Perfect studio getaway for 2. Everything has so much character. It's obviously very old, but well kept and great use of space. Everything you would find in a larger home but smaller. Great value, great location, great experience overall. Owner told us next year she will add seating to the courtyard, for now it's pleasant to look at but no seating. Not a problem for the price.
5 star rating on AirBnB
The cottage is a great place to stay only if it is for a couple or two people. It is a very simple stay only if you plan to go out all day which we did. Highly recommended: bring your own bikes. It saved a lot of our money and time. If you want to know more about the history about Savannah, I would probably suggest you to take on the trolley. If you plan to go to Savannah, go for it!!! You will have fun! We had a great time!!! :)
Felt like home
This AB&B was perfect! Great location, easy check in, super clean, and felt like home!
Wonderful
My goodness, I cannot convey how wonderful our excursion to Savannah was, and Mary's cottage had so much to do with it. I don't want to spoil the fun of discovery with this cottage by giving away the little details, but I will say this: Mary has thought of the little details that make you feel cared for, that make a trip to the historic district of Savannah authentic, and that give you a beautiful and comfortable place to be. Every need we had was solved with a quick look around. The record player was a nice touch and it was so fun. If she had left CDs, we wouldn't have bothered to listen. But, we went through the stack of records each evening, and it made us feel like we were in a movie. Mary's emails made parking the car and entering the cottage super easy, and both might have been tricky without her guidance. Her notes on local restaurants and grocery stores were helpful and spot-on. Since our unit was actually 1/2 of the little cottage, we wondered if our neighbors would be noisy or in some way out of sync with our schedule and sleep. We needn't of worried. It seems our vacationing neighbors heeded Mary's notes about being considerate as we tried to do. As for the price, we had offered a lower amount, and Mary denied it. As we exited the cottage, I realized she could have charged more. This cottage trip is a true bargain.
