Loved our stay
We came to Savannah to celebrate a friends 60th birthday. This location was close to most attractions that we wanted to see, walking distance to great restaurants.Highly recommend this VRBO
Perfect family getaway
Great house for a group. Beautifully decorated and the beds were very comfortable. Will return.
Felt like home
The property was exactly as described. It was quiet and picturesque, but close enough to everything downtown Savannah has to offer. We were able to walk to breakfast, shops, dinner, and Leopold’s Ice Cream (a must!!!) without moving the car for the entire week. Highly recommend for couples or small families. Gorgeous kitchen and enough space to feel at home.
Has everything we needed
We enjoyed a girls/moms getaway weekend in Savannah . It was a great location and had everything we needed. The home was very clean and master bedroom was super comfy! We would definitely stay again.
Even amid the Covid-19 concerns we loved this home! It was a great place to call our own and had everything we needed for our family of 4. Beautiful home and furnishings and a park right outside that we spent hours in reading and contemplating life. Many restaurants were beginning to close but we hit the grocery store and take out and made it our own. Checking in and out was a breeze. Can’t wait to come back.
Very comfortable. Great having a bedroom on ground floor for my 85 yr old mom. Great location. Walking distance to some great restaurants. Heating and air worked great. Property owner very responsive for check in. Nice bright kitchen.
This was a perfect house for a group of 3 friends for our annual girls trip. We loved having our own rooms and bathrooms. Everything we did was close enough to walk or a very short Uber when we had on our heels! Mary was great. Very responsive and nice.
We stayed in this property for two weeks in September 2019. The location was absolutely the best. Walking distance to the main attractions of the downtown area. The property is extra safe because it is located right by the police station. This historic house is in great condition. From a very cozy living room space, gorgeous floor to wall window kitchen/dining area to comfortable bedrooms. Three bedrooms and three bath. We absolutely loved it here and will definitely stay here again!! Highly Recommended. Owners were super nice and were reachable and quick at responding to requests. Thank you!!
We absolutely loved this property for our first visit to savannah. My family of 5 ( 3 children, ages 6-12) we thoroughly happy with the historic home. What a transformation this home took from its glory to dilapidation to the resurrection of a historic gem. The courtyard was beautiful, the old furniture was a great addition, the updates were clean and did not distract from the originality of the house. Walking was so easy to river street and the historic squares. Just a beautiful home all around. Must put this on your list to stay!
This house was perfect for our girls getaway. Great location. Assigned off street parking was a bonus. House was very nicely appointed. Would highly recommend and would stay there again.
This home is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood close to many sites and steps from trolley stop number 8. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would rent it again in the future.
My two girlfriends and I stayed at this beautiful home for three nights. The home is decorated so nicely and the vast windows add lots of light. The house was very clean and we had everything we needed for our stay. Having a designated parking spot was a nice bonus. The manager of the home was very responsive and quick to reply with answers to my questions. We were minutes away from everything! It was great to be so close to all the shops, restaurants and historic sights. We even witnessed a proposal and then a wedding right in Columbia Square! Our time in Savannah was special and the three of us were thrilled to have stayed in such a wonderful place!
This house is amazing. We loved the view and the location. The park fountains were green for St Patrick’s day coming up. The furnishings in the home were spectacular and comfortable. We didn’t even watch the television - so much to do in Savannah which is our fav vacay spot. We will definitely book this home again.
Five girlfriends met in Savannah to celebrate a milestone birthday and catch up this past weekend and this was the perfect place to accommodate us. The house was impeccably clean, bright and beautifully decorated. The location is close enough to walk the downtown historic district, catch the trolley just a few steps from the front door, and the dedicated parking spot made it easy to come and go with ease when we ventured out. The owner/property manager thought of everything you might need when staying there so we didn’t want for anything while there. I highly recommend this spot for a peaceful spot to call home base when in Savannah.
This house was well situated in Savannah and the private parking spot was a real plus. The private garden was lovely to look on from the back windows and was well designed and maintained. The location is mostly quiet but we had some noise at night from boisterous passers-by. The house had all top of the line appliances and amenities and was really well maintained. I would definitely stay here again.
The town house was a nice as the pictures showed. The location was perfect especially since our group were big walkers. Having a parking space was so convenient also. We would all stay there again. Loved our trip and the weather turned out to be awesome, we were able to take a long walk on the beach at Tybee.
This is a beautiful comfortable home with a perfect location. We will definitely stay there again. A great management company. We only needed to contact them to possible extend our stay due to weather. They were very accommodating.
All the previous reviews spoke so highly of this property, it was easy to make the decision to stay here. All 5 of us collectively said, "Wow!" when we entered the home. The large wall of kitchen windows overlooking the beautiful green backyard filled us with delight every time we ate at the kitchen table. There is a large master bedroom with adjoining large bathroom. All four beds in the three bedrooms were comfortable. Two of the three bathrooms also had large windows like the kitchen with screens for privacy. The location was perfect and we could walk all around downtown Savannah. I would highly recommend this home to families/friends wishing to explore historic Savannah!
My family had stayed in more than 10 HomeAway properties in the Savannah area in the past four years. This location is by far the nicest we've stayed in. Great design, inside and out. Stocked with everything you could possibly need. Cleanest of any place we have stayed in. Great parking. Ideal location. It's as if the owner has performed or been directly involved/supervised all of the services associated with preparing for new arrivals. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
We stayed in this wonderful home for 7 nights. Girls trip to Savannah...3 of us. The house was very clean, plenty of room and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The small bedroom has a daybed but was very comfortable for our 5'4" friend. The location of the house is excellent! We had a rental car but only used it to take a trip to Tybee Island. Nice courtyard in the back that was very private. I highly recommend this house, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Mary for sharing your beautiful home!
The location of this home is perfect. We could walk everywhere. So glad there is a space to park your car. We parked and rarely used it. Home is very Comfortable. Beautiful back yard. We would definitely go back to this house.
Girls weekend couldn't of been more perfect! This unit is really in walking distance to everything in the historic district. It was very clean, absolutely beautiful and well appointed in every way. We loved the kitchen area with it's open view to the back yard and had a lot of laughs around the kitchen table which has plenty of seating (much more than we needed-as we were only 3). It was great having 3 gorgeous full-baths with 3 of us getting ready in the morning and for dinner in the evenings. The living area was open to the kitchen, rear and front entrance so we enjoyed our time being together even if in different rooms. The master BR was huge, 2nd BR upstairs roomy enough for 2 people and both bedrooms upstairs opened to a small sitting area with a desk in the back of the house with the same beautiful huge open glass windows overlooking the back, as did the 2 upstairs bathrooms with shade and privacy screens. I felt like I was always in the garden- just lovely! The 3rd bedroom located on the first floor was a good size with a daybed. The full bath on the first floor can be private or shared with your other guests. The neighborhood is in a quiet residential historic district right around the corner from peaceful Columbia Square with it's tranquil fountain & close to the Davenport house (which we would recommend touring) and the Keyhoe house which is an Inn but welcomes visitors to take a peek inside. The touring Trolleys quietly roll past the square and well as an occasional horse and buggy. Just so peaceful and beautiful. You can take a book and head into the adorable backyard or even better, take a seat in the square to read and watch the more quieter life of Savannah pass by. The owner and assistant were a pleasure to work with and so very accommodating that I look forward to contacting them in the future for securing rentals in Savannah. Thanks for a great stay!
Located on Columbia Square, this Home is conveniently located near all historical sites, as well as restaurants and shops. The home is well maintained and furnished comfortably yet stylishly. The 3 bedrooms with thier own bathrooms suits a group of 5 adults easily. The kitchen / dining area with all glass windows and doors going out to the garden patio area was the perfect spot for coffee with friends. We loved staying here and would book again in a heartbeat.
We loved this place. Location, Location, Location
We really liked this place and stayed there about 3 weeks over Thanksgiving. It was helpful reading the reviews, so we were prepared for some of the challenges identified. For rentals more than a week, the storage is an issue, but we solved it by simply taking linens out of the drawers and putting them under the bed, and buying some hangers. Likewise, kitchen storage is fine if you simply re-arrange some of the items a little better on the shelves. The parking space is a perk, and there is also ample street parking. Mary is terrific at helping. We loved the proximity to the restaurants and other squares. We didn't use the courtyard as much as we would have in warmer weather, but so nice to have one of your own and not shared. We'll be back!!
We had a group of 4 women stay here last week! It was a fantastic house with great amenities. The house is very convenient - we were able to walk everywhere. I would definitely recommend this property while staying in Savannah!
This was a great house for our girls trip to Savannah. Very, very clean with modern kitchen and baths. Although modern, there is a nice dash of antique furnishings throughout and beautiful old flooring. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, each with its own well appointed full bath. We had two girls in the twin room and one in the king suite. On the first floor, there is a sitting room with a daybed and nice full bath attached. We had the fourth gal in there. It's located just off the living room, but private, so it worked well. The house is in an excellent location right on Columbia Square, catty corner from Historic Kehoe House. There is one off-street parking spot included so you can park your car and walk almost anywhere in 10-15 minutes. It's also on the trolley route if you aren't a walker. There is a cute little garden off the kitchen, however the seating out there is quite poor. We like being outside, but one can only sit so long on a small, rigid steel chair. Also, there are no closets to hang your clothes and all but one of the bureaus are stuffed with bedding and pillows. We lived out of our suitcases, but were there only a few days, so it wasn't a problem.
This little home had absolutely everything we needed...and then some. Four women stayed there for a girl's week. The last night of our stay, we ordered burgers delivered to the house from Betty Bomber's (they were great!). We then hung out in the breakfast room for hours. This gem of a house was the perfect setting for sipping wine and gabbing. It was a fabulous location for walking around Savannah as well. When we did have an issue (the front doorknob almost fell off), Mary had the repairman there in ten minutes. Still dreaming of that lovely little home.
Everything was lovely!!! The only improvement to the house would be to update the downstairs bathroom-- floor and vanity area. All of the upstairs rooms were over the top. We loved the kitchen looking out to the yard. The location was pretty perfect for four ladies to do the usual fun things. Savannah is so beautiful. The squares are inviting. It was all good. Thank you for the opportunity to express my thoughts.
Owner Response
Thank you so much for being a great guest and sharing your review! So glad you loved the home and the city. The downstairs bathroom was remodeled at the same time as the two upstairs bathrooms. It is completely modern and similar to the ones upstairs but we understand it did not impress you as much as the upstairs bathrooms which are indeed strikingly beautiful. We hope to have this group as repeat customers, as they were ideal renters and would be welcome back any time! -Mary Anderson
The place was immaculate but there are a few things to be aware of. The pros: House is in a great part of town. Lots of sights in walking distance. A few blocks away from bars and restaurants. Cons: The main level bedroom is really just an office or den with a bed. If you are 6ft tall you will not be able to extend your legs due to the arms of the Full/twin size bed. There is no room to hand clothes or store luggage. This should not be called a bedroom. There are tiny tv's in each room. The kitchen is poorly designed. EVERY cabinet in the kitchen is occupied. Some have appliances (Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher) in them. There is no room to store items that you purchase to eat while staying in the house like cans of box goods. We were forced to leave it all o n the counter the entire time. Also the entire kitchen is windows with no blinds. Dont think that you or your children can walk around in your pajamas because every stranger walking down the alley behind the house can see directly in the kitchen.
Owner Response
Thank you for pointing out the positives. The items mentioned as negatives may indeed be due to a lack of reading the listing carefully or reviewing the photos on the ad. The downstairs bedroom does have a Full size daybed which indeed is not a good fit for a 6 foot tall man. This is listed in the wording and clearly shown/photographed on the ad, so guests know precisely what to expect. The gorgeous architectural glass wall feature in the kitchen does not cause any privacy concerns. Not only is the glass nearly impossible to see through from the outside but the placement of the house is such that nobody is walking behind it. The walkway behind this row of homes is private property and is locked. The built in appliances (refrigerator and dishwasher drawer with matching cabinet facing) are typical in a designer high end kitchen. We are sorry if this guest was startled to find appliances in the cabinets, as he describes it.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous and very clean home. Great location to everything and my ladies loved it like their own. Always ate out however the kitchen is well stocked for the chefs. Nice having own parking space, beds very comfortable and 3 bathrooms made getting ready easy. Thanks for having us.
This home is even nicer than the pictures. It is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay in a fabulous town. The location was ideal for our visit. It is close to the river, shops, restaurants and the civic center where my son's graduation took place. I would definitely stay there again.
What a lovely home to spend your Savannah vacation in! There was plenty of room, everything was exceptionally clean, and we had a wonderful stay in this beautifully decorated and comfortable home. I highly recommend it!
We had such a great time on our girls trip! The house was perfect for the five of us. The only thing that would have been nice is a larger skillet or small BBQ pit. We had to cook our steaks one at a time inside but we made it work! Savannah is a beautiful city & I plan to come back with my husband to spend more time seeing the historical attractions.
Owner Response
Thanks so much for your input and glad you enjoyed your stay! We can certainly add some items to help. I guess we were thinking that the oven broiler could take care of steaks but value your thoughts. Come back soon.
We were here for a girls weekend and we had a great time. The house is in the perfect location, close to everything , beautiful and set up well. The trolley is one block away. We would definitely stay again. My only suggestion would be to get a more comfortable table and chair set for outside.
Spent an extended Easter weekend visiting our niece at S.C.A.D. This row house couldn't have been more convenient - you can walk to everything. When visiting a new city, we like to find the local farmer's market and prepare our own "farm-to-table" meal at least one night. The well-equipped kitchen was perfect for a delicious Easter dinner. When the refrigerator didn't function and the repair man couldn't even get it to work, the owner, Mary, promptly sent over an under-counter portable which sufficed quite nicely. Having a rental car from the airport was no problem with the reserved parking place behind the house for our quick jaunt over to Tybee Island. All-in-all, a great 4 days in Savannah... thanks Mary!
I loved that we could walk everywhere. Never moved the car during our stay. The house has so much character. We had a small maintenance issue but they had someone out there to fix it within 30 mins.
This place had almost everything you could ever want. The bedrooms were great and so nice to have them all en suite. The decor was homey and comfortable. The Location, well, I can't imagine a better one. We walked everywhere we needed to go. The only drawback was there were no grocery stores within walking distance, but tons of great restaurants. I would consider this property again if I can plan another Savannah get away.
This is a historic, very nicely restored town home with a beatiful kitchen overlooking a nice little backyard. Three beautiful bathrooms and 3 bedrooms (if you count the room with the day bed) provide comfort for 5 people. My wife and I and our two children (18, 19) spent Thanksgiving there and it was absolutely perfect. Good location right on Columbia square we were able to walk everywhere in the historic city. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked two of the three nights we spent there. I would rent the place again in the future.
Clean, updated, and well maintained. The house is in a great location. Everything is easy to walk to. It is right on one of the squares as well as a trolley stop. The beach and airport are an easy 25 minute drive away. Hardly had to use our rental car but the parking space in the back was very convenient. Mary was very responsive to our requests and questions making it the perfect girl weekend. And the patio out back is super and private :)
Enjoyed every moment of my stay. House was warm and inviting. Home was furnished beautifully. House was extremely clean. Mary thought of everything from completely stocked kitchen to plenty of towels. Parking was convenient and easily accessible. Would definitely rent this home again, or any rental from Mary, next time I visit Savannah.
We had five ladies on this trip and the three bedrooms and three baths were just perfect for our needs. I will say that if stairs are an issue you may not want to consider this property, but there is a single bedroom and bath on the first floor. The updates are wonderful and there is a perfect blend of old with the new. We didn't get to enjoy the courtyard because it was so hot, but it would be a perfect place for a glass of wine on a cool evening or a cup of coffee or tea in the morning. The property was very clean and we had all we needed and more. The location is great and close to many attractions, including a trolley stop if you care to hop on one of those. Mary was very accessible and responded to our questions in a timely manner. We loved this place and hated to leave so soon!!
This home was the perfect balance of historic and up to date. There were five of us ladies and the three bedrooms and three bathrooms accommodated us perfectly. It was clean and very homey. Mary was very helpful and answered any questions or concerns we had in a timely manner. It was very hot in Savannah during our stay and we were able to stay very cool and comfortable even in the upstairs bedrooms. I definitely would recommend this property to my friends and family. The location allows you to walk to many attractions or hop on the trolley just across the square if you like.
Great property. The house is perfectly situated near downtown Savannah , but just far enough away to get away from the hustle and bustle. House had plenty of space for 4 people. Mary was great , and very responsive, to any questions I had. I would highly recommend this property.
The condo was absolutely wonderful. It looked just as the pictures depicted it. It was very clean & well-maintained. Everything we wanted to see was easily within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful location in beautiful Savannah. There are a few observations I need to make: First of all, the literature said this condo sleeps 6. In reality, unless there was a bed we couldn't find, it sleeps only 5, which was perfect for us. The downstairs daybed is listed as a double bed, but in reality, it's only a single (or a bed for 2 VERY SMALL people). One other thing--there needs to be more seats in the courtyard. There were only 4 chairs and a small table, & every time we went out there to sit & enjoy a glass of wine, we had to drag an extra chair out. Also, more comfortable chairs would be a definite plus. But--overall--this condo provided a wonderful & comfortable place to stay while in this beautiful city.
Owner Response
Thank you for the lovely review. From the launch of this home on the vacation rental circuit we have advertised that we allow a maximum of 5 people. This is strictly enforced. We do not suggest in any of the advertising that we accommodate 6.
Wow. The house is incredible. Dreamy showers, incredible kitchen, wonderful patio, perfect location and designated parking spot! Could not love this place more! LOVED it! Everything was perfect! Highly recommend!!!
Three friends and I went to Savannah for a girls trip to see the Savannah Home and Garden tour. This house was perfect. It was within walking distance of everything we wanted to do. The house itself was beautiful and comfortable. It was the perfect space to end the day over a glass of wine and lots of girl talk. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is interested in someplace in the historic district.
My 3 sisters and I stayed in this awesome renovated townhouse. Its 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths were perfect for us. One of us has trouble doing much stair climbing so she was able to stay in the 1 downstairs bedroom complete with its own bath. We were so impressed with the up-to-date but comfortable feel of the property. The kitchen and eat-in area were attractive and roomy. The location of this property was perfect--walking distance to many things we wanted to see--and one of the trolley stops was right across the square. We parked 2 of our cars in a garage 3 blocks away for the entire 4 days then used the trolley to get around. We used the designated parking space for the 3rd car and only used it to go to dinner in the evening. My sisters and I do agree with a previous review about a certain lack of privacy concerning the coverings on upstairs bathroom windows. Also, we brought DVDs to watch in the evenings only to discover that there was no DVD player. Neither of these small objections would keep us from using it again. We loved it!!
The property was located within walking distance to many restaurants, shops and the riverfront, City Market. The house was clean and well stocked, loved the courtyard and the updated bathrooms. The Manager was very accommodating and easy to work with. Everyone in our group enjoyed the house and the location and we will definitely rent again and tell our friends. We all had a lovely time.
We loved this house! Everything about it was well appointed, decorated well and just a wonderful feel to it. It was located right in the middle of the Historic District of Savannah so we could walk everywhere we went which was so fun! The only issue was the covering on the bathroom windows upstairs - they were definitely showing more than I am sure the owner thought - but we mentioned it and I am sure it has been taken care of now. The person working with us on the home was lovely and easy to work with also. Would definitely recommend this home!
We stayed at this home for two nights in January and it was lovely! There is a great back terrace, an open air kitchen, and three lovely bedrooms + bathrooms. The decor in the house is fantastic and very comfortable. Further, the home is located in a great area of Savannah makes it easy to walk all around the historic district. The only negative was the alarm system which kept beeping every 4-6 hours or so. We could not figure out how to silence the alarm.
We rented this home for a girls' weekend for 4 women (50+). The home was immaculate, tastefully decorated, and offered nice little touches only found in high-end hotels, like the plush bath towels. There were plenty of extras, too. The kitchen had everything you would need if you choose to cook, but we found some very good restaurants within walking distance, so we only used the coffee maker. Unfortunately, it was a rainy weekend so we were not able to enjoy our coffee in the beautiful and quiet back courtyard. The house is located just a few blocks off the main thoroughfare, making it convenient to get around (on foot), while offering quiet and peaceful surroundings. The off-street parking was an added bonus since we just parked the car when we arrived and didn't use it again until it was time to leave. The owner was very accommodating and answered all of our questions before arriving. This rental was well worth the money spent and will be at the top of our list for our next visit to Savannah.
This vacation rental was top notch in all areas! Beautifully decorated, luxurious linens, towels, and amenities. Super clean! Perfect location in the historic district! The 3 bathrooms were awesome and the courtyard for coffee was charming. Definitely coming back!
We are a group of women over age 60 who graduated high school together. We get together once a month and annually take a trip together. This year we decided on Savannah. After much searching we happened upon this listing. We could not have been happier with our choice. This home is so convenient to all things Savannah. Everything is within walking distance. But the convenience does not compare to the charm of this home. The property is a renovated older home. It still has the old southern appeal but with tasteful modern updates. There are 3 full baths!!! The outdoor porches have been closed in to create 2 beautiful bathrooms and a sitting room upstairs. The downstairs porch is now a modern, well equipped kitchen. The back wall in the kitchen is all glass overlooking the courtyard. We didn't have to worry about parking with a spot provided. Mary, who manages the property, could not have been more helpful. The keyless entry quit working because of the batteries and she was there within 15 minutes to figure out the problem and resolve it. We loved this house, the location and it made our Savannah trip even more enjoyable.
My wife and I are still gushing to all our friends about how amazing this trip to Savannah was - especially this house! The house is a 10 out of 10, hands down. Beautifully restored, immaculately decorated and incredibly comfortable. The location is arguably the best in Savannah, as it is in walking distance to everything. The off street parking space is a great perk, but honestly we never needed a car at all - the house was central to everything and reachable on foot. Our thanks to the owners for letting us stay in your incredible home. We are already planning a trip back!
