Awesome place!
Great home in an amazing location. It’s worth it!
Perfect Cozy Cottage
The rental was exactly what was described in the listing. The house was very cute and had everything we needed during our stay. We were all very comfortable. The location was perfect. We only had a 10-15 minute walk to the places we wanted to go. We would absolutely stay here again. Perfect place!
Owner Response
Thank you so much for sharing your experience for future guests. It was a pleasure to host you!
Overall this was a pleasant stay. The loft got a tad hot with the heater on, which had to stay on because it was so cold. The check in/check out process was very simple and convenient. Mary was easy to communicate with and the house was very clean and cute!
Close to River Street and all the restaurants & shopping. Two downstairs bedrooms had big king sized beds plenty of room for two adults to sleep in. Upstairs a bit smaller bed but still cozy. All three bedrooms have their own bathrooms. Couch pulls out to bed if needed. Would definitely consider staying here again when coming back to Savannah.
This is a great place. We went to Savannah with 3 couples. The house worked out perfect for us with 3 br and 3 ba setup. The location is within walking distance to everything in the downtown area. Checkin was easy and communication was good. I would definitely recommend this rental.
As the name says, it is a very cozy cottage, the perfect place for six of us to celebrate our 60th birthdays. Having the two bedrooms on the first floor were perfect for our older friends, as well as not having to climb stairs to enter from the street. There was enough kitchen and den sitting for us all to visit for long hours and the location could not have been better. We were especially impressed that the owner had a new air conditioning unit installed upstairs before we returned from dinner after reporting that it was not cooling upon our arrival. Loved our stay in this charming city and hope to return again.
We enjoyed our stay at Cozy Cottage thoroughly! The cottage is in a perfect location for walking to anything you want to see or do in Savannah. It was on a quiet street, parking was easy right in front. Beds were comfy, *the upstairs mattress was quite firm. We had a group of seven, plenty of room for seating in the living room and around the dining table. We didn't do much cooking other than breakfast, but the kitchen had the basics. The upstairs AC wasn't working, but we cranked up the thermostat downstairs and turned off the upstairs ac when we were out, we also brought a fan which helped. There is a parking permit kiosk on the corner which would have made changing out parking permits easier had we known in advance. As it was we purchased the permit from the 17hundred90 restaurant around the corner and had to go back and change out the permit in the middle of the afternoon. We would have loved it if there had been a courtyard or garden to sit outside in, for coffee in the morning and a drink in the evening. There is also no easily accessible back door, which in case of emergency was a little worrisome. Overall it was clean and well appointed with linens, blankets and personal care items. The furnishings weren't new and had some wear, but there was no obvious stains and were clean. We loved it and plan to go back next year for our annual girls weekend.
We loved our little house in the historic district. We parked the car & walked almost every place. It was so nice that you left us hand soaps, etc. It was enchanting to enjoy our neighborhood, which we did at all hours of the day/evening. It would never have been the same staying in a hotel. There was 4 of, so nice to have 3 bedrooms & 3 baths. Cozy cottage’s name fit nicely. Thanks again
This house was located in the prefect spot. It was just down from a beautiful square and a few blocks away from river street. Quiet, yet close enough to be apart of the action. The trolley stopped on the corner and we were able to hop on and off at different locations. The house was comfortable and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. It was perfect for 3 couples that needed their space but wanted some common areas as well. A beautiful city - I hope to be able to come back and lucky enough to find this place available. We ate at 1790 our last night and it was amazing - just around the corner from this little house. I can’t say enough great things!
Cozy Cottage was like home away from home. My family of five adults enjoyed the comfort and amenities of the kitchen, dining and living room. We each had our personal space as well with the two master suites and upstairs loft area. Cozy Cottage location is perfect to enjoy the historical district of Savannah. Check In/ Check Out was detailed and simple to follow. Mary did a great job organizing everything. Respectfully, The Levi Family
Our family of 5 stayed very comfortably to attend our son's graduation from SCAD. Absolutely perfect location. Could walk everywhere from Forsythe Park to the River Front. Very clean and comfortable. Parking right on front of house. Don't usually do these reviews but for families traveling to Savannah to attend SCAD events or visit their students and want to stay in Historic Savannah this is an affordable convenient location.
We had a great stay at the Cozy Cottage. Neat, clean, and comfortable beds. Nice to have 3 full baths!! Location is great, easy walk to where ever you choose to drink or dine in the historic district. Never had problems with parking, got my on street parking passes the first day and generally was able to park right in front of the cottage!! Quick response from the few texted to get codes and confirm our departure. Would definitely stay again.
Location was perfect. Everything we needed was within .07 miles walk; restaurants, stores, tours. House was clean. Beds comfortable. Linens provided and washer/dryer was convenient. Minor things could use update (ex: one main floor window blind needs replacing) . Management service was quick to respond to a/c problem. Two king bedrooms with baths on main floor were a plus traveling with older adults. Parking car for three days on non-busy street was easy and convenient. Purchased local parking pass $14/day multi-day. Pass good for all Savannah parking. Would book again.
We loved our stay at the Cozy Cottage. The location could not have been better. We walked to most of our destinations, and the Trolley stop was very close. The house is close to a great pub. The only issue was when we cooked we found the kitchen short on cooking equipment compared to our 3 previous VRBO houses. But it did not impact our stay. The beds were comfortable and we highly recommend the Cozy Cottage. Mary Kathryn Black
Clean, cozy, safe, inviting. Felt like I was visiting an Aunt! Beds were comfortable and landlords were accessible if we needed anything basic. 4 women enjoyed this property for 5 nights and all loved it.
The Cozy Cottage is a great place to stay, well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Just bring your groceries and clothes and you are set! Great location, short walk to everything and parking was not an issue for us.
This place has so much room! I was there with a group of 7 and it was perfect! Location is literally walking distance to everything! We all had an amazing time and recommend to anyone trying to find the coziest place in savannah!
The home was beautiful and in a great location. It is within walking distance of the riverfront and all the fun. Had a wonderful time. I would recommend this property if you a looking for a warm family atmosphere during your visit to Savannah
The house is conveniently located within walking distance of the historic district. We did have to move our car once but it was not a problem. The house was spacious and comfortable -- although another chair in the living area would be nice so all six of us could sit together comfortably, rather than moving a dining chair into the room. It was especially nice that all three rooms had their own bathroom. I would definitely stay in the Cozy Cottage again!
We stayed at the Cozy Cottage during the St Patty's Day celebration week. The cottage provided plenty of space for our party of five adults and was very accommodating especially with the three full baths. It's location in the historic district enabled all to be able to walk everywhere we desired to go and we only used the vehicle once during our stay and that was to visit Tybee Island. Outdoor living space would have been nice but is currently not available. Would recommend Cozy Cottage for those who like to get out and explore, especially the beautiful and enchanting city of Savannah!
The house was within walking distance of the entire historic district, which was convenient. We didn't have to move our car and we're able to receive day passes for street parking. The house was spacious and comfortable -- beds especially comfy! We cooked in one night and enjoyed strolling around the squares and the city. Would recommend this house and would stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay at Cozy Cottage. It was perfectly suited for our needs and the location couldn't have been better. Everything is within walking distance, but you are far enough off the main roads to have some peace and quiet. There were just a few minor things that we noticed: the carpet in one of the downstairs bedrooms doesn't actually meet the wall so some of the subfloor is exposed, some of the ceiling fixtures aren't quite lined up with the holes in the ceiling. Nothing major in any way, but just noticeable. We look forward to returning to Cozy Cottage when the owners have finished the courtyard area. That will make it even better!
Owner Response
The back door is for emergency exit only and the courtyard is only for the owners who live next door. That area is not advertised or pictured and is not a part of this rental. Columbia Square is a professionally maintained outdoor space right out your front door :) Mary
Just as it is called, cozy. Loved everything about it, especially each room having their own bathroom. We were having a family wedding, so everyone could get ready at the same time. The king beds were so comfortable and the downstairs bedrooms not having windows, allowed sleeping in without light streaming in. It was within walking distance of everything, so we felt like a local.
Very well taken care of and convenient location. Everything was well organized and ready when we checked in. Great for a small family vacation. The 2 master bed rooms on the 1st level were huge and best part was having separate bathrooms. The bed in the loft was also very comfy. We really enjoyed our stay in the house and had no complaints. Outside of staying inside the property, annoying part was street parking and city of Savannah parking officials themselves. We bought the 48hr city wide parking permit which helped us a lot, and thanks to the property manager of recommending this. **Pay attention to the "Street Cleaning timings". Opposite side of the house reads Wednesday 12:01 am, but I would recommend removing your car before 11:59pm Tuesday night itself. Trust me parking ppl are sooo annoying and have no patience in this city. They can ticket rite in front of you even if you miss by a second. Very visitor unfriendly city for parking.
Owner Response
Glad this person enjoyed the house. Parking is generally laid back at this location but requires one bit if thoughtfulness with changing sides on the once per week sweep night. The interpretation of the sweep night sign starting at midnight is correct regarding Wed 12:01am start time actually being Tuesday night. We do call attention to this. You could stay in one spot for 6 nights before having to change sides, if you read the signs. Instead of waiting until mere minutes before the midnight sweeper time to move the car we advise you simply park on the other side of the street earlier in the day. On Habersham Street where this house lies, the side closer to this house gets cleaned Saturday night and the opposite side is cleaned Tuesday night. There is always a place to park where the sweeper is not coming that night. The cross street Oglethorpe has more parking and its own posted sweep nights. If you forget to read the signs and leave your car in a sweep zone the sanitation department follows the sweeper in the night and leaves tickets for all cars in its way. It is easy to forget about your car at this location where everything is in walking distance. But a very small amount of care taken in reading street signs will prevent a ticket. We are sure that anyone reading this review will be able to avoid any problems!
We are four sisters who rented this home and stayed for a long weekend in November. The Cozy Cottage is in a great location and walkable to the river, shops, restaurants and more. Overall the house was a perfect size and great with three bathrooms! No complaints....but would suggest reading lamps missing in one bedroom downstairs and hooks in downstairs bathrooms. The bathrooms are modern, yet small and did not have countertop sinks nor shelves or hooks to help organize things. Also the outside front of the cottage could use leaf cleanup and a few flowers to enhance the charm!
We are 3 couples who have been friends for 20 years and decided to meet in Savannah. We chose Cozy Cottage so that we could all be together and the Cottage met all of our requirements. It was within walking distance to most everything we wanted to do; even going to Kroger. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were sooo comfortable and this is very difficult to find sometimes. The living area was a little short on seating for 6 adults; however, the dining chairs were comfortable so we would pull couple over to the living area. All of us agreed we would make the trip again to Cozy Cottage.
I really liked the cozy cottage. Was absolutely thrilled to see that the house was located basically across the street from the police station. The property was clean and we had no issues with our stay except for Hurricane Matthew. I am thankful that the owner allowed us to vacate the property and graciously refunded the remaining fees. If we called with a need (additional pots/pans, etc.) the owner very promptly responded. There are a couple of suggestions, though. I know the courtyard is not advertised but it would have been a nice additional sitting area for guests especially since the porch stoop is very small. Also, it would have been nice to have a DVD player available (we like to watch movies on vacation). Overall, I was very pleased with the house, the location to all things Savannah, and so much more. I would definitely consider renting the property again and would recommend it to anyone.
Owner Response
We appreciate this fantastic review from a very nice group of guests. This question of the back yard has been mentioned in other reviews and the answer is currently the same, the courtyard is not part of this rental which is why it is not advertised or pictured. It belongs to the owners whose house is next door. They are in the midst of a very lengthy expensive renovation of their home and at this time they cannot manicure and furnish the courtyard to make it an amenity for guests. One day it will be a shared courtyard offered to this rental during limited hours. At that time we will furnish it, photograph it and include it in the ad. Until then, the access from this cottage is purely as a safety precaution so we do not block the back doors off which would be a fire hazard. The outdoor space our guests may use in the meantime is professionally manicured by the City of Savannah, the beautiful Columbia Square! Right outside the door. We also welcome guests to come sit at the 17hundred90 Inn bar or restaurant right on the block, around the corner from this cottage. Thank you for understanding!
We really enjoyed staying in this cottage and I was pleasantly surprised by the size, cleanliness, and everything that was provided within, especially with our group of nine. We had no problems during our stay. Parking wasn't an issue during a busy holiday weekend, which was a relief. The cottage was so greatly located. We were able to walk everywhere in the historical district! I highly recommend this cottage to anyone!
Stayed here June 16-20, 2016. 4 adults and one 2 year old. Had plenty of room, great beds, and quiet surroundings. Police dept. is only half a block away and you can see it from the front porch/stoop. Columbia Square is half block away and so is 1790 Inn. The owners of the Inn also own this cottage and their son Patrick is extremely friendly and full of historical info about the area. He runs the Inn. Trolleys are nearby around the square. Absolutely loved this place and hope to visit again. Mary is a delight to work with. I hope I get to work with her again in the near future.

The cozy cottage was nicer than expected and we had a very nice time staying there. It was within walking distance of everything. I loved the sheets on the bed and the pillows were very comfortable. Mary was extremly nice and helpful. I would positively recommend this place for your vacation!!!
Our first trip to Savannah was great. House location perfect for walking everywhere. Three couples, three bedrooms & baths terrific. However, couch and love seat in living room don't provide enough COMFORTABLE seating for 6. Needed to take straight back chairs from dining rm. Same goes for dining room. Needed to bring in chairs from living rm. We had breakfast only at the house, wouldn't be very comfortable if eating 3 meals at that table. - no coffee filters for coffee pot - no dish rack- we wAshed dishes after breakfast didn't run dishwasher - no salt, pepper, sugar. Basics for any kitchen. Understand wanting to limit any foods/condiments, but basics can be securely enclosed in containers. Will be terrific when outdoor yard is available for morning coffee and cocktails!!! The AC wasn't working but owners responded quickly to correct the problem. The downstairs AC unit is VERY loud, clicking on and off. Appreciate the rental of your house. Savannah is a great wkend trip!
Owner Response
The HVAC system was completely replaced not long after this guest stayed. The owner installed a heavy duty commercial system in July and it works beautifully. At the end of November 2016 the owner upgraded the pullout sofa to a new La Z Boy brand couch with top of the line sofa bed frame. It is true we do not ask the maids to stock food items since their job is to stock toilet paper and soap for guests. Anyone planning to cook should bring their own condiments or go to one of the nearby supermarkets. Kroger is the major downtown grocery store and is less than a mile away, CVS is half a mile away with basic groceries, the Salt Table is a specialty seasoning shop within walking distance on Broughton Street and Brighter Day is about 1 mile away with gourmet organic spices and groceries.
I was part of a 6-person friends get together who rented/stayed at this house over the Memorial Day weekend. We found the house to meet our needs perfectly -- size, amenities, etc. -- all wonderful. Loved having the 2 BR on the main floor and each BR having their own BA.The beds were comfortable and the linens (bed and towels) were like new! And you cannot beat the location. On street parking was not a problem. I was not the primary one in charge of the booking but everything went smooth and easy to the best of my knowledge. There was a slight glitch with the A/C system upon our arrival. This was taken care of promptly (and on a holiday weekend, no less). Probably our only disappointment (and this is minor) is that the TV was not HD. Would also recommend another loveseat (or upholstered chair) be added to the LR. As is, there is seating for 5 whereas the house is set up to accommodate 6-8. All in all, a great stay. Would definitely stay again.
We were so happy with this cottage. This was a group of 5 retired ladies who vacation together as often as possible. The location of the house is fabulous as the other reviews say. Parking was easy. We got the Day Pass so we did not have to pay meters. We walked everywhere except for Tybee. Having 3 bathrooms was convenient. The owners of the 1790 Inn made us feel very welcome there too, it is on the block with this rental.
We had a great time at the Cozy Cottage. Everything was wonderful. The rooms were just as pictured and the beds were comfortable. The location was so easy to find and parking was available all around the cottage. Mary responded immediately to all of my texts and I'm sure had we had a problem, she would have handled it immediately. Everyone in our group commented on how soft the towels were so I thought I should add that to the review. The only thing we didn't like was that there wasn't enough living room seating for all of us to sit together, but there were enough kitchen chairs for us to pull them in. Overall, our stay was wonderful and I hope to stay there again!
Cozy Cottage was ideal for a girls weekend. The house was exactly as advertised. The location is ideal as it is within walking distance to restaurants, bars and shopping. We parked our cars on the street and didn't move them the entire weekend! It was great having a washer and dryer also for washing our running clothes after the Rock and Roll marathon! We would definitely book this property again.
It was perfect for our family at Thanksgiving. You were correct, didn't need a yard with the square so close. It was pretty childproof too. We walked every where and enjoyed it. I would suggest different light fixtures in the upstairs area. It was very cozy and comfortable. We loved those sheets so we searched them on Amazon and purchased some for the entire family. Thank you for a great stay with good memories.
Super location for the Savannah film festival. 4 of us were very comfortable. Only disappointment was overgrowth of the very small grounds. No where to sit outside due to thisc overgrowth.
Owner Response
The outdoor space this guest is referring to is not advertised for guest use. It is the owner's back yard (their house is across the yard) and it is not groomed or set up for guests which is why we do not show photos of it or advertise any outdoor space with this rental. The back door of one bedroom can be unlocked to access this yard, which we will continue to allow for safety. In the future, the yard might be utilized as a guest amenity but that is at least a year from now and in that case the courtyard will be advertised, photographed and promoted as such. Until then, the outdoor space for our guests to use is the beautiful public green space at Columbia Square which is steps outside the front door. - Mary 11/10/15
This little cottage worked perfectly for four retired friends who were taking in historic Savannah. The location couldn't have been better for catching the trolley to every venue we picked. It was safe, clean, well appointed and roomy and offered everything from a fully equipped kitchen to comfortable sleeping arrangements. The extra bed in the loft was really a nice touch, which afforded all of us our own space. Thanks so much for a great stay! We would definitely recommend it to our friends.
I rented this house for my baby sister's bachelorette weekend. Overall it was perfect for our group. It can be hard to find a good place in Savannah that a group of young girls can afford. For me, it really all comes down to location but location often comes at a premium price. This cozy cottage fit the bill perfectly. We had plenty of room and although I typically stay on the west side of the historic district (closer to City Market), the house was still within a 10 minute walk to everything. I would also like to point out that the sheets are the softest sheets I have ever slept on! Everyone woke up talking about how comfy the beds were and how amazing the sheets were. I even tried to find out where they get them because I would love to have a set at home.
This little cottage was cute, cozy and had most of everything we needed. The sheets were clean, the air conditioner worked, plenty of glasses. A little short on cookware (we were trying to be conservative with dining). Beds were comfy, and there was plenty of space for 8 girls with lots of luggage. The neighborhood was quiet, and the owner greeted us upon arrival. The property manager was very nice and helpful and responded to all my messages! Its a little bit of a walk (if you're all dressed up in heels) to get to the center of town but there are several ways to get around. I would definitely recommend.
This cottage was Perfect in every way! We stayed at the Cozy Cottage for a couples weekend, the Cottage was perfect! It was very clean, beautifully decorated, great location! It was only a short 5 minute walk to downtown Savannah, Mary the Manager was a dream to work with! We will definitely be visiting again. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!
The Cozy Cottage was the perfect house to host a bachelorette party in Savannah. It was nicely decorated, very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The cottage looks small on the inside in the photos, but it was much bigger in person. Parking was easy (lots of spots on the street in front of the house), and it was in the perfect location. I would definitely rent this place again with a group on my next trip to Savannah.
Our first visit to Savannah was even more memorable with our stay in this great rental. It was a very comfortable, neat home for our group of 4 retirees who found the location perfect for walking to sightsee or to catch public transportation. Owners have done a great job in decorating and keeping up this nice property. Be sure to visit 17 hundred 90 right around the corner if you are looking for a nearby for food and drink. This is also the quickest and easiest place to get a parking pass if you have a vehiclw and will be parking on the street. Will definitely rent again on next trip to Savannah.
The location is perfect, very clean and comfy beds. Parking was easier than I expected. The furniture in the cottage is gorgeous. I would suggest adding some extra towels and washcloths or recommend guests to bring their own.
This property is great and in the perfect location. Walk to all the attractions, or just enjoy a stroll/jog. No complaints only two suggestions: more towels and a place to hang clothes in the bedroom nearest the kitchen. There is no closet or luggage rack. We will definitely rent again.
The cottage was just perfect for the three couples that visited Savannah Cozy and comfortable with just enough space. In the perfect location in the middle of the historic district, just 5 minute walk from down town and the river. Across the street from the Inn (a local favorite) with a great bar and excellent dining. We loved it and will be back soon.
Owner Response
This really is the ideal rental for 3 couples! So happy the first guests at this newly launched vacation rental were so pleased. The owner being an innkeeper means the guest needs are very well anticipated after years of experience! Looking forward to many more happy customers. Mary
Perfect location for a getaway
Couldn't ask for a better experience at such a great value. Five stars for everything!
Great house for my family
Great house and location in Savannah. The place was very spacious and clean, checking in and out was very easy. worked out great for my family and me.
