Awesome location! The Italian restaurant next door is very good and the breakfast spot across the street was delicious! Only a 8-10 walk to Broughton Street for more restaurants and shopping! Literally, 900 ft away from the grocery store. Nice house, great for couples because of the two master suites! I would definitely stay again!
Best spot to stay in Savannah! Absolutely marvelous! It is close to everything and it is very beautiful and spacious inside. 10/10
Comfortable for our group of five
My family and I had a wonderful experience at Mary’s place. It was very conveniently located near the park and lots of restaurants. It was comfortable for our group of five and the perfect weekend get away. Highly recommend.
The carriage house was close to everything - Forsyth Park, shopping, restaurants, and about a mile walk through the various town squares down to the water front. We really enjoyed our time in Savannah.
I can't thank you enough for such great review of one of my newest listings. -Mary
It was convenient to Forsyth park and it was within walking distance to all shopping and restaurants. The apartment itself was very clean and updated, and includes everything you would need if you were at home. Bed was a little firm for my taste, but it all comes down to preference. It was quiet at night and quiet nearly every day we were there except for a couple of days. For some reason there were people cutting bricks for the back wall at 9am on Friday morning. It was right below the bedroom window. I doubt it is something that will happen again but nonetheless, it was kind of frustrating for someone off of work for vacation. Overall, I would come back to this apartment for convenience alone. It was a great rental and worth the cost! Thanks!
This may be the nicest vacation rental I've ever stayed in. Everything was perfect, plenty of space (one couple but could easily accommodate two), super comfy beds, nice towels and linens, beautiful bathrooms, and everything you need. There wasn't a single thing we wished we had other than more time to stay. The owners thought of everything and provided soap, shampoo and conditioner, laundry soap. Having the washer and dryer was great, we washed our clothes before we left and didn't have to do any laundry when we got home! Parking on the street was never a problem and we were able to walk to plenty of places to eat, drink and enjoy the parks/squares. 10/10 would stay again, I wouldn't even look at other places.
We really enjoyed staying here. While we were here we bought groceries and we were prepared to cook meals here but found out the first night after shopping that the oven did not heat up properly so we were unable to use most of the food we purchased. We were there in the middle of July but the temperature in never really got quite cool enough so not sure if the a/c maybe needs to be serviced or just top floor and it isn't possible. Everything was great outside of those two things. The beds are extremely comfortable as well as the furniture. The bedrooms had plenty of space and were very comfortable. Parking is a little difficult, especially on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings because of the street sweepers that come through but once you get the hang of it that gets easier. We really enjoyed the stay and felt safe here. I stayed with my daughter, best friend and her daughter. My best friend's daughter has Down Syndrome and the stairs did not pose as much of an issue with her. For the most part, we all enjoyed the stay!
We are so glad we rented this property! We went for a girls weekend away, but I would say the home would be perfect for 1-2 couples. The house itself was very cozy. Plenty of room, clean and well stocked. There is a Kuerig in the kitchen and someone left a few pods, which we greatly appreciated. The steps up were a little narrow, but they were fine for two ladies over 50! Water pressure was just fine, the bed off the Living Room was a little on the firm side, but that is just a personal preference. I slept well, just missed my tempurpedic (as always). You could hear (from the bedroom) some noise across the street as the windows are single pane, but after 10pm it was very quiet. My friend said she heard nothing from her bedroom window towards the back of the house, off the kitchen. Forsyth Park is just one block away. Right around the corner are some beautiful Historic Homes. Walking around was one of the high points of this whole trip. It was almost a mile to the River, but it passed quickly as you are really going through the enitre historic distric to get there. Also, don't miss Fork and Dagger right across the street. They are open from 8:30-3pm and have the best coffee, breakfast/lunches for a very reasonable price (along with home made deserts!) Property management was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. **Don't hesitate to book this property! Yes, it is across the street from 'Section 8' type housing (5 story apartment building). However, the area is beautiful and you can literally walk anywhere and everywhere. We only drove to get to Bonaventure Cemetary.
It was noisy at night with the public housing across the street. Hence The price was more affordable than downtown historic area. We couldn’t get the ceiling fan in the main living area to turn on. The one bed in the smaller bedroom was not comfortable. It was clean, we were only there to sleep for most part, as we were there to sightsee. Great convenient location to walk to everything and also to have washer/dryer on sight.
We enjoyed our stay here. Everything was as expected. Didn’t have any issues checking in or out. The location was great- so close to Forsyth Park. The one thing I wanted to mention so others are aware- there is what appears to be section 8 housing across the road from this rental. The individuals that live there seem to keep to themselves and it still feels like a nice area. But the people living in that housing are loud when they sit outside late into the night and early in the morning. I was not affected by this and would stay here again. But this may not be preferable for those who are sensitive to noises at night.
