Description
A one bedroom condo in a sought after location. Spacious bedroom with King size bed. This unit has an updated kitchen, wireless internet, flat screen TV, a pullout sofa and exposed brick walls. The building was constructed in 1849 and is situated in the heart of downtown. This unit is alley-side so the street noise is minimal despite being in the middle of the night life. There is no door between the bedroom and the living room but the unit is very large and sleeps 4 with two people on the pullout sofa.
We are lucky to have a 24/7 garage access card for our guests at this condo. The garage is one block away from the building and parking for one car is covered with a small $10 flat fee to use our access card. If you do not wish to use our garage card or have additional vehicles, all day parking on street and at select parking garages is best handled with a Visitors Parking Day Pass. The Pass is $15 per 24 hours or $24 per 48 hours as of 2018. This can be purchased from the Visitors Center on MLK, the Parking Services office on Bryan or the 17hundred90 Inn front desk at 302 E Presidents Street.

What a great stay we had. Close to everything. Cool with of walking or taking a trolly shuttle for free. Or a paid guided tour. We like walking, so that’s what we did. Mary was excellent to respond on any questions. Very comfortable in the condo would definitely stay again if we visit this area again. Great little town. Little Duck Diner was our first lunch spot and it was great. Our favorite breakfast was Two Cracked Eggs. Ann’s we enjoyed Ordinary Pub and dinner. And stopped into the Pink Hose for drink and appetizers, delishious!
Overall, our experience in this lovely property was great. Our greatest frustration was difficulty with the internet. We could briefly connect, but would be dropped. This made it difficult to research local restaurant menus and other local places we needed to research online. Our current plan does not include unlimited data, so this was an additional expense for us. We saw the listing included internet and it was unfortunate it was not working properly. I know residents were aware of the problem, as we saw an internet provide truck parked outside as we left!
This little apartment is ideal for an extended stay of 3 or more days in Savannah. So much more comfortable than a hotel room - and so nice to be able to come and go in our car if we wanted, without annoying valet service. This place is an easy walk to the Riverfront and almost everywhere else worth visiting in Savannah. Please do not use the kitchen for cooking as the restaurants in Savannah are all excellent and unique and a great value. We did make coffee every morning though, while waiting for the restaurant de jour to open for breakfast in this lazy little town. If you can wait that long, the Little Duck Diner has great breakfast food for all tastes, but does not open until 10. It turned out to be our favorite breakfast in Savannah. Take the trolley tour from the local company. It will give you many ideas of where you should spend more time. We did a ghost tour as well and learned a lot of local history. We would say don't bother with the riverboat tour - it spends half and hour of your time, at least, going up to the turn around point, and then passing your starting point again, and doesn't get very far from there. We went to Tybee Island, where it was nice to walk on the beach, but everything was overpriced there, even the parking. All in all, Savannah has enough charms of here own to merit a trip and this apartment is a great command center.
What a great place! The owners of the home were very easy to get in touch with regarding any questions we had, and even gave us some great ideas for things to do around the city. This place is in the greatest location- it's in walking distance of pretty much anything you'd want to do in savanah. The house was clean and comfortable, and perfect for our small group.
You couldn't beat the location of this unit. The condo was spacious - the bedroom was huge - it would have been better if the bedroom had a door on it - especially with folks sleeping on the sofa bed. The sofabed could use upgraded pillows and linens. The kitchen could use more pots and pans since we cooked breakfast every day.
The condo was beautiful, clean and well stocked with the necessities. The location was great and right on the main strip. If you’re not up for walking you can hop on the DOT (free bus) one block away.
This property was all about the location. You could not ask for a better spot! We were able to park the car in the garage and not move it until we were ready to head home. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
This property was located in the heart of Savannah and was within walking distance of everything the city had to offer. It was great to have a space in the garage for our car. The condo had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We had a great time and look forward to coming back soon!
We arrived to a smoke detector beeping, lol. Mary responded immediately to our text and had maintenance there quickly to replace the battery. The apartment is roomy and had all the basic amenities. Everything was clean. The bedroom faces a busy alley and building so we kept the blinds and curtains drawn. Those were the only windows so there was otherwise no view or sunlight. Luckily, the weather was great and we were gone most of the time enjoying all that Savannah offers. The bldg's hall carpet could use a good cleaning, but we felt safe coming and going and in the parking garage.
Great location and very spacious for a one bedroom unit. My husband, teenage daughter and myself stayed comfortably in this unit. The building hallways could use some updating and TLC but once you reach the condo it gets much better. A couple of things that would have made it a 5 star...hardwood floors in the bedroom or new carpet and a laundry in the unit or at least on the floor. We will definitely will return to Savannah and I would definitely rent this unit again!
This was the perfect condo for our weekend get away! Great location and the condo was so spacious and met all our needs. There was four of us. The bed was so comfortable!!!! The couch bed was a little tougher but ok. Would definitely stay here again in the future!! Owner was great to work with.
We truly enjoyed our stay. The loft was much larger than we expected. Clean, comfortable and supplied well with the basics. Because of the perfect location, we were able to leave our car parked the whole weekend and explore the city by walking and biking. Beautiful Telfair Square, restaurants and shops are just steps away. Keep in mind, the loft is downtown so there is usual city noise till about an hour after the bars close. We’re definitely looking forward to our future stays!
Charming, roomy, clean, tastefully decorated unit in a historic building. Perfect location downtown offered opportunity for free parking in the garage a block away and walking everywhere we wanted to go! Great way to see Savannah and walk off the Thanksgiving dinner and other overeating episodes in the numerous outstanding Savannah restaurants! Thank you, Mary, for your part in providing an outstanding, stress-free family reunion!
While some may not realize it, the condo is quite large for the area that its located in. Adequate lighting throughout, makes it feel open and warm, despite only having a handful of windows in the bedroom portion. The location is the selling point of this condo. I've always loved this area, and it's convenience and beauty. Savannah is a walking city, and there is something for everyone within a few blocks. Be aware that while the Historic District is beautiful, it is still a working city, so there is a lot of traffic Mon-Friday. Trash pickup is Monday morning, right behind the bedroom... Be sure to pick that as a morning to get up and out early! We loved our stay, and will definitely stay here again! The condo has a fully stocked kitchen, the King-sized bed is wonderful, and the shower in the bathroom is phenomenal! We highly recommend!
We were there for three nights four days. Really enjoyed the centrally located property. Everything was convenient by walking. We found excellent dining close. Everything we wanted was within walking distance. Highly recommend.
If your looking for a place centrally located to everything downtown this is a great place. Walking distance to almost everything I wanted to do. Got the car out of the provided parking garage only once to go visit the beach. Here's a few things to note about this particular property: It's an older building loft style apartment so tall ceilings, creeky wood floors and the bed is a metal framed bed so it makes some noise when you roll over. You are in the heart of downtown so you will have alittle street noise but nothing unbearable just the occasional street traffic. I really liked how easy it was to access and how close to everything it is especially if your coming to shop, eat and drink, who isn't! The parking garage pass is a real plus as parking, especially in the evening, can be tough to find. The property owner and staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating to all my needed. I would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful time, the condo is near everything never took the car out of the parking garage. The unit had everything we needed for our stay. There was some noise at night in the back ally from the restaurant employees but not enough to keep us awake.
A clean, well furnished property, centrally located on Broughton St.. Our only suggestion would be the addition of a full size ironing board. Otherwise, it's a great rental property that we'd definitely come back to.
I stayed in this condo in August and was happy to see it was available for a return stay! The condo is exactly as it is described - spacious, impeccably clean, and centrally located to everything in Savannah. And, parking is included! A great value! I hope I get to stay here again soon.
You can't beat the price or location. Everything was very convenient. An easy walk to everything. Never got in our car once we parked it. The elevator wasn't working the first day which would have been bad had we issues with steps, and it is noisey at night. But, that's city life.
I stayed at this condo for my wedding weekend and it couldn't have been better. The only problem I had was the long walk from the elevator to the condo itself. I had many boxes of wedding decorations to haul. It is a great centrally located condo, walking distance to anywhere you would want to go in historic Savannah. The condo is well appointed and comfortable. I loved having a full kitchen even though cooking was not something I had planned to do. I would rent here again in the future for sure.
We loved our stay in the heart of the Historic downtown district of Savannah. It was nice to be able to enjoy the town and know that we could run back to the apartment whenever we wanted; to take a nap, or change shoes! It is near a lot of great restaurants, City Market and River Street. We would stay here again! Holly and Ron
My family and I arrived at this condo (and one of their others) just days before hurricane Matthew hit Savannah. This owner could not have been more gracious to us in that stressful time. We were offered the condos for two extra days after the hurricane hit so that roads could be cleared for our travels. Thanks to this owner, our trip was a lot less stressful. Although most businesses were closed during our stay, this condo is in the perfect location for walking Savannah. I truly can't say enough about our experience with the owners from start to finish and I look forward to the day when we can return to get the full Savannah experience.
Perfect location. Close to all amenities and fabulous restaurants. Great accommodations for the price...better than a hotel in many ways. Very clean and spacious! Super comfortable bed! Will definitely use this one again and recommend it to friends and family!
This condo is perfection! It's in the heart of everything; it's spacious, well-appointed, and sparkling clean; and it's a great value. It's cheaper to stay here than any decent hotel I found. Also, it includes parking at a nearby parking deck. I would love to stay here again and I have already recommended it to friends and family!
This condo is in a great location downtown, amidst shopping, restaurants, and points of interest. The condo was super clean and comfortable, and well-equipped. The owner was immediately helpful in addressing an Internet issue, although the Internet was always slow. The elevator was not working during our 5-day stay, necessitating walking up and down 4 short flights of stairs. Quiet as can be, even though you're in the heart of everything, and the bed was really comfortable!
Owner Response
Our elevator is now working! We just went through a planned renovation and the elevator was shut down for the equipment installation. This was a major undertaking with a tricky timeline. This building location is so fantastic that very few people chose to move or cancel based on walking up, even for the units I manage on floors 3 and 4. As it turned out we had guests using the stairs regularly. We are beyond thankful that time period is over now and guests can ride the elevator. - Mary Anderson, Jun 16, 2016
My Husband and I traveled to Savannah for our Honeymoon and this was the perfect location for us! It was walking distance to everything! The only time we used our car was to drive over to Tybee Island. We thought the bed was perfect and slept like babies every night we stayed! Staying during the week had a lot of perks, the busier restaurants that normally have long waits had no wait time during the week! Mary was so quick to respond and made getting into the condo so simple! I would highly recommend this location to others and we will definitely be back again!
My husband and I just returned from a 4 night day at this unit. Simply amazing - the location was prime walking distance to most of the Savannah hot spots (e.g. Telfair Museums, River Walk, & City Market). The added parking pass was ideal. We only used our car once to travel to Bonaventure Cemetery & Fort Pulaski. For most hotels in historic Savannah, one has to either pay for valet (over twenty dollars a day) or pay for city parking. In terms of the interior, we enjoyed the simplicity, yet attention to detail in the unit. The kitchen is fully stocked. We did not use the kitchen as there is so many restaurants in Savannah to try. The bed is so comfortable and the shower is heavenly! We highly recommend this quaint unit in the midst of Historic Savannah. If we travel again to the city, we'll definitely book here again.
This apartment was in a perfect location if you want to be in the center of it all (which we did). Great food all around. Really no reason to move your car after parking it unless you're looking to get out of the downtown area. First let me say that we were very happy with this rental. It met all of our needs. We loved the hardwood floors in the apartment, enjoyed having TV in both the living area and the bedroom. And the ceilings make this place feel HUGE. The only two things that kept me from making this a 5 star VRBO were #1. the common area when entering. It really needs a good clean up. Also, the elevator was broken when we were there, which meant we had to carry our luggage up and down the stairs. Not a problem for us, but could have been if we were not as able bodied. The stairs were in the same shape as the other common area when you enter the building-- In need of a good cleaning. #2. We were a little underwhelmed with the bed and bedding. The apartment is so nice, the kitchen and living areas, and the beautiful exposed brick in the bedroom, we were surprised that the bed was not actually a bed with a head board, and that the bedding seemed rather dated. Adding an actual bed with a head board and some updated bedding would make a huge difference, and help this aspect of the stay measure up with all the other wonderful things about this VRBO. Overall, would stay there again. Great value for your dollar.
Owner Response
Thank you for recognizing all the positive aspects of this condo, as well as other comments. I actually appreciate expectations being realistic for future guests. The photos shown at the time of this guest's booking (as well as for the 2 years prior) depicted the platform bed without the head board, so should have been no surprise to this guest. That said, after this stay I have put a headboard and footboard on it so new photos are added as of Aug 2016.
My fiance and I stayed here for 2 nights while in town finalizing some details for our wedding. It was perfect! We honestly did not have a single complaint. While our internet did go out once, we made a quick call to Mary and it was fixed in no time. The unit was much larger than we expected and that was a pleasant surprise! While it was just the two of us this time, 4 people would be more than comfortable in this condo. The bed was heavenly!!! I actually want to know what kind it is so we can look into one for ourselves. We slept so well here! I can't say enough about the location. If you are coming to Savannah, you HAVE to stay on Broughton Street. We have made the mistake in the past booking units elsewhere and now we try and stick to places right on Broughton. It is definitely the most central location and while there is street noise, we love the atmosphere. Get the parking pass! The garage is very close to the unit and we didn't pay for parking once while in Savannah. The only time we drove was to go to dinner at the Crystal Beer Parlor and getting in and out of the garage was very easy. We are considering rebooking this unit for our wedding/honeymoon - we enjoyed it THAT much. Mary was great to work with and we were very happy overall!
Owner Response
The bed is a Night Therapy memory foam available online from Sam's Club. We love them too and use them at our own home.
My wife and I came down for a concert and had a great time at this apartment. It is in the heart of everything yet peaceful and quiet. Mary was very helpful in our stay and we'd love to come back soon.
The overall unit appearance and cleanliness was above average. Very spacious throughout. Was disappointed the elevator was out all weekend which made bringing luggage in/out a chore. Parking to unload luggage was also hit or miss, had to park in alley and one person had to stay with car in case a service truck needed access. Would definitely stay again, location, location, convenience!
Amazing loft !! great location right in the heart of Down town Savannah, walking distance to everything. very clean, quite building , secure and most of off you feel right at home. Made our Valentines trip that more enjoyable. Recommend it to anyone heading to Savannah. Cant stop telling friends and family about this place
This place was perfect! We loved the location and the ability to walk everywhere. Working with the owner is super easy. She returned text promptly and had a binder of dinning suggestions. We also rented a car and were so thankful that the Parking deck was close. We look forward to coming back soon.
We stayed December 2-7. As the description states, this spacious loft is in the heart of Savannah's downtown historic district. You can walk to any place within a five to six mile radius. Once you park the car in the garage provided by the owner, you'll never need it again unless you plan on driving out to Tybee Island or, are preparing to drive back home after your visit. The weekend of our visit, the Christmas parade and other holiday events were scheduled, including First Friday fireworks on the river-front. The unit, located at the corner of Barnard and Broughton Streets is nicely decorated; the bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. There are only two windows in the loft; in the bedroom over an alley way. There were a few late nights when you could hear people in the alley-way talking/laughing loudly, the occasional delivery truck for the store below the loft, and of course the early morning trash and recycle truck. The weekend we stayed there was a renovation project underway above us; we could the phone ringing and people discussing plans and some hammering/sawing; it wasn't anything we couldn't deal with. The shower is the definitely a place you'll spend some time; dual shower heads are marvelous after a day of walking the city. Restaurant recommendations; Cha Bella, PJ's and Clary's for breakfast, The Chart house on River street for some great appetizers and drinks, Rancho Alegree Cuban Restaruant; great music and cuisine, and of course the Pink house. Mrs. Wilkes is over rated, especially for the rate and the food was very salty on the day of our visit. I would definitely recommend this location if you are looking for the BEST location in the heart of it all. The owner was very nice and easy to work with on the payment (didn't get to meet her in person). And, I just can't say enough about the welcoming nature of the people and the city. I will definitely use this location again if available, the next time I'm in Savannah.
We stayed for a few days over the new year and had a great experience. The room was a little different from what we usually reserve, but I am glad we chose this one! After unloading the car, we parked it in the garage and left it until we went home. This place is literally walking distance to everything in the historic district. The room was clean with updated appliances and as others have stated the bed was very comfortable. It was interesting staying above a store. We heard noise from the store and people on break in the ally from the neighboring restaurants, but it in now way took away from our stay. The price is set right for this place, and if you stay here you will really be happy with the location. The owner is super quick to respond to any questions and seems very nice. Russ
We stayed at this very spacious and nicely upgraded condo this winter. We were able to park easily and walk to everything. The unit was tastefully decorated and the beds were so comfortable! We would definitely stay again!!!!!!
Our experience with HomeAway vacation condos is quite extensive, and this property wasn't one of the worst in which we have stayed but not one of the best either. Pros: The location of this condo can't be beat! We have spent much time in Savannah and to be right on Broughton street with walking access to River Street and Forsyth Park was amazing! We very rarely used our car which was wonderful. The condo is spacious and not lacking in room at all. The updated kitchen and bathroom is a plus! We comfortably fit us and our two adult sons in the condo well. Access to a parking garage space was a great too since parking in that area can be tricky. The condo was immaculate...one of the cleanest in which we have every stayed, with a good supply of linens. Although the bed frame is equal to what you would find on a futon, it slept very well. Cons: The common areas desperately need updating. I understand this is a historical building but also know that a fresh coat of paint and cleaning could go a long way. When we first arrived and stepped into the building we were quite concerned that maybe we had a mistake renting this condo, but were pleasantly surprised and relieved once we opened the condo door. The elevator was non-functional the entire time of our stay, and we didn't find out until we left that it won't be fixed until Spring 2016. Thankfully we were only on the 2nd floor so it wasn't too much of an issue. There's coin laundry available but like the other common areas that room is also dirty and unkempt with only one working washer and dryer. The WiFi in the condo is questionable at best, dropping continuously unless you were sitting in the bedroom. I was hoping to do some work while there but never could keep it connected long enough. One other major issue was that you can hear everything in this condo. I can understand hearing downtown noise due to the location which is a given, but we could hear the neighbors upstairs as well as to the side. Actual conversations could be heard as well as telephones ringing. We currently live in an apartment so we are used to multi-dwelling residences, but this was more noise than we've ever experienced or expected. The walls are paper thin and were worse than some hotels in which we've stayed. Finally, the owner has provided a beautiful double oven in the kitchen but there's no baking dishes! It would have been nice to have at least a baking sheet and one baking dish available to use.
Owner Response
Each year after Christmas one of our best most popular properties gets a low star critical review, after a year of glowing 5 star happy guests. It's become a tradition. I think the holidays are never as good as when you are a child, and the let down has to be blamed on something. A couple of things to note: - this unit is in the portion of the Telfair building where it's only 2 stories. Nothing is above it at all. The phone ringing and conversations this person heard came from the Banana Republic store which is below. Store hours are 10am-6pm so not an issue for most of our guests. None of it is louder than what you hear in a hotel hallway. - the bed frame is a steel platform that can be found on amazon or Sam's Club website with all 5 star reviews. We use these sturdy frames in many vacation rentals because of all the heavy people who come through and this supports a high weight capacity. This is not at all equal to a futon. The comfort of the bed (frequently mentioned by happy guests who even ask where the bed came from so they can buy one) is due to the memory foam mattress and solid steel platform frame. -If something basic like a cookie sheet is missing from the kitchen tell me please, and I can almost always get one to you during your stay. If you don't want me to replace it for you then just let me know so I can do it for the next guest. This is a great condo in an amazing location which is why it is consistently rated 5 stars and has many repeat guests. Mary
Love this Unit!
This was our second stay in this loft apartment, and it is by far our FAVORITE place to stay in Savannah! We never rent from anywhere else besides Mary when we visit! My husband and I very much enjoy this location when we get a chance to escape to Savannah. The location is absolutely perfect! Walking distance to everything within the historic district. The only time we ever used our car was to venture out to play golf one afternoon. I cannot say enough about the comfort of the bed, and would love to know where the mattress came from so that we can buy one just like it! While we are usually ready to return home to the comfort of our own bed after trips, that was not the case here. The addition of the sound machine to cover street noise made sleep even more fabulous each night! We are and will always be return guests of Mary's when we visit Savannah! She is the quintessential southern hostess! Thanks again Mary!
We chose this condo for our stay in Savannah, based off of the reviews and we were not disappointed. This place is perfect! High ceilings, exposed brick, full kitchen, and 2 tvs. We parked our car on Monday in the garage and had no need for it until we left on Thursday. Walking distance from River Street, the historic district, and right in the middle of all the shopping. When we return to savannah, this is our spot.
My daughters and I stayed in this condo for a girls weekend. Could not have asked for a better location! The elevator was most helpful after a day of sightseeing. The condo was very spacious and well appointed. Loved the historic details of the apartment. The king bed was very comfortable and the apartment backed onto an alleyway, so no street noise. The foldout sofa mattress wasn't great, but foldout mattresses rarely are! The owner was very easy to contact with information on parking, the parking garage was very close. We appreciate the garage access key she left for us. All in all, it was the perfect location for our girls weekend away!
The condo is centrally located in the very center of everything! We walked everywhere and even had an off street parking space! The bed was very comfortable- we would definitely recommend this to future travelers!
This condo was in the perfect location! We parked our car in the provided garage (1 block away) when we arrived and didn't have to touch it again until we checked out! We literally walked everywhere! Dining, shopping, attractions, historic sites - you name it - it was within walking distance! The condo was updated and VERY clean! The King size bed was extremely comfortable and the room was huge! We traveled with our 16 month old daughter and had a pack-n-play for her to sleep in and there was still plenty of room to walk around in the room. The accessibility of the building and condo was so easy (but secure). We will definitely be going back to Savannah and will be staying here again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
First and foremost, Mary was super easy to get a hold in regards to the check-in process and even when I reached out to her for a couple details in the midst of my stay. The unit was super clean and had all the amenities needed for a 3 night stay. It came with a king bed and pull-out sleeper sofa. The kitchen had everything you will need to make a meal (we didn't cook) or enjoy a couple drinks (did plenty of that). The bathroom was immaculate, had plenty of towels, and a huge shower with dual shower heads. It was located on the second floor with easy elevator access. Everything was modernized to its full potential. There was a little noise from the outside bedroom windows as there were deliveries being made throughout the day. It didn't ruin any mid-day naps however it was slightly noticeable. The garage is about a block over so a good 2-3 minute walk with luggage so I recommend finding the unit first and dropping off all luggage. Big garage, always a space, key access only which is provided via a card located in the room. LOCATION! LOCATION LOCATION! The location alone is a reason to stay here. Literally a 2 minute walk to a bunch of great bars and restaurants. Also a 5 min walk to River Street. The location is hard to beat. This rental beats hotel rooms for the pure fact that the price is right, the location is amazing, the cleanliness is hard to find, and the space is more then adequate.
The condo was more than anyone could ask for, walk to everywhere you would want to go. Very quiet and the bed was so comfortable. The parking was a great bonus as parking can be hard to find at times. Condo very well equipped and very clean. This condo and Savannah is a great place to go just to relax, looking forward to coming back for a longer stay. You will not find a better location.
This condo and location created the most wonderful weekend get away for us! The condo is very clean, quiet and impressive. The bed is perhaps the most comfortable bed we have ever laid in. The location is extremely convenient as we did not have to drive anywhere during our entire stay. Also, Mary was very helpful and responded right away to our questions. We will definitely stay here again!
We had a wonderful vacation at this incredible apartment! This is our third time staying at one of Mary's properities, we won't stay anywhere else! This place is so close to everything - food, shopping, fun!
We had never been to Savannah so we were very unsure of what location to choose. We wanted to be able to walk to everything. We knew when we arrived here we had luckily ended up just where we hoped. Don't miss B&D burgers live music and patio, just around the corner. And The Noodle Bar, Tequila's Town and the Kayak Cafe were all great too. We enjoyed the Haunted Pub Crawl ghost tour. This was a great home base we could always get back quickly for a refresher.
The apartment we stayed in was clean, beautifully lit, spacious and right smack in the middle of all the best of Savannah. The best restaurants, shopping, and sites were all within a couple blocks away. The only negative I'd say is that -- because you're right in the middle of everything -- it's very likely you're going to be hearing some revelers in the streets during the wee hours of the morning. We woke up a few times from noises outside. Still, the stay overall is super-relaxing. Highly recommend!
What a great apt, with such character. Super high ceilings, exposed brick, large bedroom. The building is non-descript., and you rarely see anyone. It is right in centre of all the places you would want to visit with no more than a 15 min walk anywhere. The KING SIZED BED was comfy, the pull couch worked well for my kids and the 2 T.V's helped at night. The furniture and finishings are new, some still had tags on them! We found the apt. very clean. The parking space around the corner was really good and safe. Lots of good restaurants around (although Goosefeathers was kinda avg. but it was pretty cheap). The only negative would be no real view from the window and occasionally you heard a garbage truck in the alley below the window. Great price point and value! Mary was great to work with and always answered her phone when we called. Would definitely stay again.
Definitely recommend! I could live here permanently! First class! Great recent remodel but still has that old Savannah charm. Very clean, modern kitchen and bath, comfy King bed and all the amenities of home. You don't need to rent a car unless you are going to Tybee or Hilton Head. You are just blocks from all attractions, the river, etc. And if you are not a walker there are the human taxis, trolleys and cabs readily available everywhere. I was in town for a family wedding for 5 days. Rest of family stayed at Andaz so it was nice to "getaway" for some quiet time every now and then. Will definitely rent from Mary on my next visit. She delivered!
We made our first visit to Savannah this year and loved it! Our VRBO was an apartment in a downtown building and we were close to everything. The finishes were very nice and modern with good taste. The king size bed was so comfortable which helped after days of walking and touring. We hope to go again and book with the same owner but will look for a place with a view or some outside space as this place had only windows out the back of it toward the alley, but an over all great value most comfortable. Oh, we did have a parking pass for this location and felt we really needed it. Parking can be a challenge.
We rented 4 units from Mary in this building for my daughters wedding. This unit we rented sight unseen--no pics were up yet because it was a new rental. I trusted Mary and knew how beautiful the others were so we jumped at the chance for this one as well. It did NOT disappoint! This unit may be a 1-bedroom, but it's HUGE! Beautifully decorated as is every unit we've rented from Mary! Any time we visit Savannah, we WILL call her! Over the past year, I've rented 5 different condos from Mary and ALL have been a place I'd call home (I actually wish I lived in!)! Thanks Mary!!
We decided on a whim to go to Savannah for a long weekend and found this rental available. The reservation was simple to make and Mary was great to work with. When we arrived the condo was clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. With the location above Banana Republic you were within walking distance to everything. We didn't move our car until we headed home. If you are looking for a good place to eat I highly recommend the Pirate House - Parmesan Shrimp was amazing and they had a GREAT Pimento Cheese Burger. If you are looking for Steamed Oysters - Bernie's on River Street is my pick.
