A Must Stay, Better than WOW
A group of old friends, seven in all, stayed at the Mansion for a three day stay. When Mary says there is a Wow factor to this rental, WOW is an understatement. This rates five stars for a perfect getaway home base. It is a lovely old Victorian home with a large living and dining rooms and a comfy TV room off the kitchen that is updated with all amenities for cooking. The bedrooms on the second and third floors are spacious and the beds are delightfully comfortable. And if the above is not enough, there is a screened in porch with patio for appetizers and drinks while relaxing in a saltwater pool after a day of sightseeing. Again, you cant miss with this. The Pink House was recommended by numerous friends so seven friends stopped by for lunch. Craig is manager of this private home turned into a wonderful restaurant. The menu is varied and caters to different palates, from tasty Southern meals to more regular fare, so it’s easy to find a meal to suit your taste. The servers are pleasant, helpful and quick with orders. Each room of the original house has been turned into various types of dining rooms each with fireplaces, most, if not all of them, originals. From the downstairs pub atmosphere to a romantic wine cellar dining, from a ballroom of crystals fit for weddings or other special occasions to a gentleman's parlor/room, (alsofit for women,) this restaurant is a great find. Try it and I believe you will be as pleased as we were.
This home was exactly as it was represented. Actually it was better! Our family booked this home for a last minute summer vacation and we were so impressed by the home and the city. We felt that the location was fantastic. Just outside the noisy busy area but certainly close enough to walk to all of the tourist attractions. It was very convenient being so close to the grocery store. We love to eat out while on vacation but we certainly made the most of having a full kitchen and groceries nearby. When we return to Savannah we will be staying here again.
Words cannot describe the comfort ,beauty , and peacefulness of this vacation rental. From the minute you step on to the beautiful front porch to entering the grand foyer , you will be in awe!! The owners have preserved the historic beauty of the home , and added all the modern amenities you would find in a high end home. The location was perfect for walking through the historic district, and beautiful Forsyth Park. The covered front porch and the courtyard in back of the home are amazing. The beautiful ferns and flowers with comfortable furniture made for enjoyable evenings of visiting or reading a good book, even in the month of August. The back yard courtyard had a salt water pool that we enjoyed. We were able to have a group of 9 for a barbecue one evening. It was so relaxing to have the group enjoy appetizers and drinks in the beautiful back courtyard. The comfortable outdoor furniture , lighting , salt water pool made for a perfect place to enjoy our evening while we grilled steaks on the gas Grill. We then ate dinner around the amazing dining room table with lots of room for our party of 9 . We were able to set the table with beautiful place settings and dishes. The beds were so comfortable and the linens and the towels were plush. The home was immaculate and well cared for. Mary the property manager was so wonderful to work with as we planned our vacation. We loved our time in Savannah browsing the shops walking through the squares and Forsyth Park. Our first evening we walked to the Char House on River Street for dinner. It was a beautiful walk along the parks and squares. We then had a pedi cab bring us home which was awesome way to see the historic district at night . On Saturday we walked to Forsyth Park for the Farmers Market. We attended the Savannah Sand Gnats games in the evenings and Tybee Island for a day. We had a wonderful vacation but one of the highlights was returning to and waking up in this beautiful , peaceful vacation home. It was a crown jewel for vacation rentals and we can't wait to visit again. Thank you Mary you were awesome.
This home was spacious, very clean and comfortable except for temperature at night. House is beautifully renovated and well supplied with dishes, etc. Beautiful bar area. There were a few negatives all of which should be fixable: Instructions were to not turn AC lower than75 and, especially at night, it was not comfortable in 2nd floor bedrooms even with ceiling fans on. The internet was painfully slow and in this age of connectivity, everyone expects adequate internet service - it has taken me 3 tries to get this review finished! Checking up on my business from here was just about impossible. because of weak signal. The other thing I would recommend is having trash bags in all trash cans as well as providing hair dryers. In this age of limited carry-on baggage, most people don't pack a hair dryer. A non-stick pan would have also been welcomed. I didn't realize the patio and pool out back would be shared with the rental behind it. Great location to go sightseeing, visiting local restaurants and attractions, Thank you for the beautiful home to have as our base while in Savannah. I would recommend Cobblestone tours for walking history/ghost tour; visit Old Ft. Jackson and Ms., Wilkes Dining room for lunch. Also loved Papillote (French café) for lunch. I would not waste my money on Lady & Sons restaurant - overpriced and over-rated. Food was adequate at best.
Thanks so much for the kind words about this beautiful home. We definitely agree that a hair dryer should be provided! Had this guest called we would have found it immediately for her. As always, please call if there is something you cannot find in this large home or if something seems to not be functioning properly. We have a booster for the wifi that is now set up thanks to this review. The AC instructions are for summer, in which case the 75 setting makes ice cold air blow almost constantly, any time the home temperature rises above 74. This guest came in the Fall at the time when the outdoor/indoor temperature naturally drops to around 75, and is not hot enough to kick on the AC system if set at 75. Thanks for pointing out that seasonal instructions should be specified to keep the home just right. We really want you to be comfortable! Phone calls, text or emails with questions during your stay are welcomed and are never a bother. The owners and I would both prefer to help during your stay than find out about questions later in a review. Thanks, -Mary
I first want to say Mary the property manager was a wonderful start, she was quick to answer any questions and provide info on the home and area. It was much to my surprise that she was even there helping to clean when some of the cleaning ladies didn't show up the day we arrived. We were all tired and thought we would sit on the porch and wait for the cleaning people to finish up to enter, and out came Mary assuring us the house was ready with her help. Now unto this beautiful home it has been updated with everything you would want in a home yet all of the character of this home was beautifully restored. I fell in love with this home upon entering! The home is within walking distance to a grocery store and Forsyth Park. It was clean, and comfortable and everything we needed as far as dishes, glassware, cooking utensils, and pots and pans were all there. I always worry when renting homes about not having the things I am use to having in a kitchen or less quality items then I am use to having, but not in this kitchen. Which made it easy for dinner there our first night and breakfast in the mornings. All the beds were nice with quality linens and lots of plush towels even separate pool towels for your use. The pool and courtyard was nice and comfortable. It was a little chilly to use when we were there but my kids took the plunge anyways. In reading the previous reviews, when we were there we had trash bags and hair dryers so it's nice to see the owners are following up on recommendations. The only improvements I think should be made is the directions on air 75 was too hot for us in the home even with ceiling fans I think maybe it needs to read no less than 72.
I have stayed in Savannah over Thanksgiving for the last 6 years. This home was large enough for my extended family and to act as host house for family that lives in Savannah. We had a great time walking to the park and tennis courts. The Riverfront is a little far but is doable with lots of fun shops along the way. The kitchen was well appointed (needs a larger microwave) for cooking meals. The wet bar with ice maker was an outstanding feature. I would stay here again on our next visit.
Description accurate, agent and owner responsive, clean (except for paint cans , old TV, & misc stuff in closets & garage) well equipped kitchen (except for potato/carrot peeler and adequate tea towels), need bath mat in master tub, pool and fireplace super! Enjoyed carriage ride and strolling. Thank you for a memorable holiday.
We are a group of 10 close friends that travel all over the east coast to venture into whatever shenanigans we can get into. We are very picky about where we stay and some have tall orders to fill in the accommodation area. That is why we use VRBO to find the perfect place. This house succeeded perfect… it was beautiful and well maintained. The pictures do not do it justice. The kitchen is much bigger then portrayed in pictures. The house was so pretty that we did a whole photo shoot for each couple to keep as a memory keepsake. Mary was great and answered our questions immediately. Kroger is literally around the corner and very handy for things we forgot. We planned our trip around parking our vehicles and not having to use them again till we were leaving. And that we did! We loved Savannah so much that we got home and cancelled our family trip to Ruby Falls in July and scheduled to take kids to Savannah. They are excited and looking forward to it. To highlight our weekend – we arrived in town early so we took advantage of that by having lunch at 17hundred90 Inn & Restaurant (amazing food and service). We then walked over to the Cathedral of St John the Baptist for a quick peek – well worth the peek – it was breathtaking. Once we got into the house and settled in we did Mexican night to enjoy our home away from home. The kitchen had everything needed – I mean everything plus more. We spent Friday morning shopping and browsing City Market. Had lunch at Anna’s – food was good but due to the overcast, we elected to sit inside. The kitchen had a strong odor of old grease so made this unpleasant for some. Saturday was the day to meander around the squares and Forsyth Park. Beautiful! We had planned lunch at Angel’s BBQ. When we called they said to come early because they only stay open till food runs out but they forgot to tell us they only have TWO tables and most do Take Out. So we went around the corner to Six Pence Pub. It was a great Irish experience and a few of the guys found new beer that they enjoyed. Saturday night was River Street!!! We had dinner at Rock on the Roof – everyone said good but not great like they expected. Restaurant was beautiful but food and service fell into the ehhh – good but not THAT good. We ended our weekend with brunch on Sunday morning at SOHO South Café – you have to go – the place is just awesome! Great weekend and excited to be doing it again soon!
We are a large group of friends in Savannah for a wedding, and the house was just perfect! Everyone loved it and we didn't fight too much over who got which room since they're all fantastic:) The location was great. I really can't say enough wonderful things about our time there, and we look forward to returning in the future, even if we don't have a wedding to go to.
A group of 13 of us just returned from our trip to Savannah for a wedding, we had booked the main house & carriage house and we could not stop raving about it the entire time we were there! It was beyond beautiful and the pictures do not even do it justice! Kroger is around the corner and could not have been better, the 20 minute walk to the river was perfect for a nightly stroll. The backyard was perfect for hanging out during the day and we loved having the pool to cool off in, we even were able to use 2 bikes in the garage for scenic bike rides throughout our stay. Mary was very helpful the entire time for any questions we had. Our party was coming from all over the northeast and it was so nice having towels, sheets, hair dryers etc. provided for us. If I make it back to Savannah I definitely want to stay here again, I'd want to live in this house if I was in Georgia it is amazing!
We rented this home for our son's wedding weekend and absolutely loved it! The home is well appointed, kitchen completely stocked for large crowd, ac very comfortable, easy walk to Kroger, Forsyth Park, Cafe, Brockington Hall (reception venue). We also rented the carriage house and had full use of the courtyard, pool and garage. Everyone loved it! Thank you Mary for your assistance with everything.
I coordinated a trip to Savannah for my daughter's Girl Scout troop. We were a group of 5 moms and 6 preteens. I had been to Savannah many times, staying at "VRBO properties", so with our large group it was a natural choice to rent a big house. At first I was apprehensive about the location because it seems like it would be too far away from the "heart" of the historic district. However, upon our arrival all my worries vanished. We checked out the house (wow! wow! wow!) and immediately headed for Forsyth Park. What surprised me the most was E. Hall Street - it's a gorgeous street with very beautiful homes. So it turned out that I actually looked forward to our walks to and from the house (which we did many, many times). (And Kroger is just around the corner too which is a bonus.) The house itself is amazing. Everything was immaculate, solid (luxury finishes), and well appointed. The kitchen was perfection and the butlers pantry had a second dishwasher, huge ice machine (which we used a lot), and two beverage/wine refrigerators. Having two living rooms was great (space galore!) and the dining room table seated 10 people. It felt very luxurious to have us all seated together for meals. I had coffee on the lovely front porch every morning and we enjoyed the quiet courtyard one evening too. The canopy of palm trees made the space so private and pretty. The girls splashed in the pool too...another bonus. The courtyard sits between the (brand new? and very clean) two-car garage and the back of the house. If huge bedrooms are important to you this house will not disappoint. Even the queen bedroom was quite spacious! The third floor is loft-style and, again, provides tons of elbow room. At the end of our trip one of the girl's pulled me aside and said "This is the best vacation I ever had". And later I "caught" one of the girls going around and taking pictures of the house. Enjoy the house! Enjoy Savannah!
The minute we walked into this home, we were in love! All the equipment is modern and up-to-date, but the furnishings and fixtures took you back to another era. The house is long and narrow, but doesn't feel cramped. The location is perfect - out of the bustling part of downtown, but close enough to walk to it. There's a Kroeger market one block away, a great liquor and wine store 2 blocks away...what more could you want?! I could go on and on, but suffice to say that we really enjoyed staying here, would come back in a heartbeat, and wished we had more time to explore all that Savannah has to offer.
This house exceeded our expectations. It is from a "time gone by" era and has been refurbished in a way that takes you back with it. If I could move this house to my land and live in it, I would. It is close enough to all the "stuff" to get there easily but private enough where the awesome porch just invites you to relax in the evenings and enjoy the history that exudes from this town. There were two couples so we had more than enough room. The amenities are off the charts with new appliances that are top notch. I would recommend this highly!!!
This is/was an excellent house with all of the updated creature comforts- ice maker, dual dishwasher, huge refrigerator, gas cooktop, etc. the bedrooms are HUGE and beds are unbelievably comfortable. I can say this because I spend 100 days a year at Marriott hotels. Simply stated- this was an awesome place that ALL of us cannot wait to get back.
Eight women stayed here to celebrate our 40th birthdays. We had an amazing time. The space was great for us. We had plenty of beds and baths. The kitchen was good and had everything we needed. The front porch was great for coffee in the mornings. Easy walking or cheap cabs to wherever we wanted to go! Parking was easy. Really, a great time!
This is a beautiful, graciously appointed, comfortable, conveniently located historic home. Everything is better than the pictures, the kitchen and bar are perfectly stocked and it is immaculately maintained. We couldn't have designed a nicer spot for our ladies long weekend. We especially enjoyed the classic deep southern front porch where we spent our waking up, afternoon cocktail and late night wind down times! The courtyard is a mini oasis and we were surprised at how cool it remained in the heat of a June late afternoon. We all loved the house and would rent it again if in Savannah. Oh- All the beds are very comfortable!
My whole family loved this beautiful home away from home. Everything you need to make you comfortable is there. The house is truly in a perfect location, grocery store, coffee house, park right down the street. The salt water pool is perfect for Savannah's hot summer days and nights. My mom loved reading on the front porch. We would definitely go back.
Relaxing upscale home with all the amenities. This was our second stay at this property for a bunch of 30 somethings: the first, for my bachelor party, and the second, for one of my groomsmen who liked it so much he asked for the same place the following year. Perfect for get-togethers for respectful crowds, it is within earshot of local residents, though we've never had any problems. The back patio and pool has seen many a cookout, the front porch is a favorite hangout, and the house is so large there's plenty of space for people to gather and yet still have quiet conversations in other rooms, all at the same time. Mary is the caretaker and she's great, very polite, friendly and ammenable
Great place to stay for visiting Savannah. Rent the guest house also and you have total backyard patio privacy. We had 5 couples in our group. Plenty of room and bath's for all. Bed are all extremely comfortable w/upscale linens. Property is very clean and just as described. Thank you to the owners and property managers for a great stay in your city. You must also visit the Jewish bakery on the corner.
Was in town for a week for conference. Renting a house for the 4 of us was more cost effective and allowed a more comfortable setting for after work socialization. Great location. House was clean, quiet and had everything we needed. Would stay here again. Actually, didn't want to leave!
The house was well cared for and very convenient to downtown and the riverfront. We arrived at night and took our car to the riverfront to eat. The next morning, we walked a few a few blocks and came upon a breakfast place. It turned out to be Clary's Cafe. We found out later it the was cafe featured in the movie "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil". We also discovered there was a nice Krogers a block away and a coffee shop on the corner of the block. The coffee shop (The Mate' Factor) was a interestingly constructed and decorated building that was built and is run by an international, for lack of a better description, Utopian Society. Days later, we discovered that even the downtown and Riverfront areas were within walking distance; even for a bunch of 60-somethings. Every new street you walk down, in the neighborhood, has a special "treat". The house itself was great. It was set up perfect for our group. All modern kitchen and bathrooms, but somehow it managed to retain its historic charm. I can't say enough good things about the house, its location and Savannah.
The house was in a great location - walking distance to downtown Savannah, 1 block from a grocery store and half a block from an adorable coffee shop (and Starbucks, if that's your preference). Any inquiry I had, I texted Mary and got an immediate response. She was incredibly helpful. Really excellent customer service.
We had a wonderful time at this property. It was a 4 minute walk to Kroger and about 2 blocks from Forsyth park. We loved the backyard courtyard/pool area, and it was the perfect size for our large group. We took ubers to river street with no problem! Mary was very helpful, and the house manual was very informative and covered all questions. Overall, I would definitely recommend this house!
My family enjoyed the two living areas, roomy dining table, four comfortable bedrooms and courtyard with saltwater pool and gas grill. But by far the best feature of the house is the front porch, where we whiled away many an hour watching birds, pedestrians and occasional traffic go by. The Kroger grocery store is right around the corner, the Mate coffee/tea shop/bakery is just down the street, and wonderful Forsyth Park is a 10-minute walk away. On Saturday, the Farmers Market at Forsyth Park offers fresh vegetables, fresh eggs, and some of the best sausages we've ever eaten! Leopold's Ice Cream is a 25-minute walk away. The nearest Old Town Trolley stop is a ten-minute walk. Street parking is relatively easy: even with street cleaning on some nights, we never had a problem finding a spot near the house. I would stay in this house again. It's beautiful, well-maintained and very comfortable. Thanks for the wonderful accommodations for our first visit to Savannah.
Five of us just returned from a girls trip to Savannah. This beautiful gracious home is the perfect place, fully equipped and appointed for a confortable vacation. It is located within walking distance to the Kroger and a coffee shop. The beds are super comfortable and the bathrooms very spacious. A must for consideration on your journey to Savannah. Thanks Mary.
The Property Manager Ms Anderson went out if her way to accomodate our special needs. The home was exquisite the beds divine. The Outdoor space was a real bonus we enjoyed a fire in the fireplace in the backyard in the evenings and morning coffee on the front porch. Within walking distance of a wonderful coffee /lunch place and a Kroger with a Starbucks , and the trolley. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen and bar were well stocked with appropriate utensils and dishware etc. including a temperature controlled wine frige and bar icemaker. Pictures do not do it justice! Loved it!!!!!!
This house was amazing, the pictures do not do it justice. There is plenty of room for 10 or more people to sleep comfortably and everything is updated. The dot bus stop with free transportation down town is only 2 blocks away if you're not comfortable with Savannah traffic. Pool area is very nice, the only complaint is the pool water is ice cold, good for summers but we couldn't get in it. All together we had an awesome experience and are looking to book it again next year.
I recently stayed at this property for three nights with a group of women for a girls get away. The property was fabulous!! The front porch was our favorite spot with its oversized ferns and French doors leading off the living room. The home was impeccable and stayed true to its historic roots.each bedroom was tastefully decorated and the bed linens were superb. The master bedroom had a claw foot bathtub and s double shower with doors of the bathroom leading to a second floor sun porch. The kitchen was modern and equipped with everything you need. Also there was a bar area with ice maker. Great for entertaining. The back patio and pool area was its own private oasis with palm trees and pool, yet cool and relaxing. A gas grill and a working fireplace added to the overall completeness of this area. The house was close to supermarket and bakery. If you are a walker, great neighborhoods to walk thru and walkable to the river. Overall, when asked how was my trip to Savannah, I say the house was my favorite part, and second were the gracious people of Savannah. Oh I can't forget the crape myrtle and the live oaks with the hanging moss!!! Beautiful city!
Not only was this place huge, and perfectly located, but it had everything we needed ... an ice maker in the bar area, a kitchen full of pots, pans, silverware, serving utensils.. everything! The rooms were huge, the outside sitting areas were absolutely lovely. It was nice to have a dedicated parking area and a cute coffee shop just one block away. We LOVED staying here and would recommend it to anyone.
Lovely 4 bedroom home built in 1892 and only 2 blocks from Forsyth park. Beds were very comfortable, bathrooms spacious and kitchen had more than enough for any type of entertaining. Lovely front porch for cocktail hour and plenty of street parking right in front of the house. Also a garage for one car in the alley, but did not need it. This was for a reunion of 4 friends with spouses of two and it was perfect. The house was not rented the day before so was allowed to arrive early with no hassle. A wonderful experience and highly recommend.
5 women stayed in this historic home for a week in late January. 3 had to make emergency room visits due to allergic reactions to the mold/mildew smell in the entryway of the house as well as the dust bunnies under every bed. A long stretch of wallpaper was peeling over the front door from obvious rain damage. Everyone who entered the house including 2 others who were staying in the carriage house behind the home who visited noticed the smell. Light bulbs in several spots including closets were dead. We found dust under every bed on the wooden floors. One of the bathrooms had a tub/shower combo that turned on the shower as the tub was filling. The manager finally agreed to send someone to help us with a TV issue after she insisted it was our fault while her children played loudly in the background of the call. Each call to her prior to our visit had children's voices loudly in the background. The house is in walking distance to all the sites in Savannah as well as restaurants and shopping. An excellent coffee shop/bakery is on the same block. We enjoyed the convenience of the location. But the maintenance of this historic house needs an upgrade. We can't recommend this house to anyone who is allergic to mold and dust.
Future guests, I am quite sure you will share the positive sentiments of all the other reviewers of this home rather than this particular one. There is no mold in the house at all. The faint historic home smell is typical. It is barely noticeable to most people and somewhat pleasant to many. This home has been featured on the Tour of Homes and is an impeccable example of historic preservation. Any reactions these ladies had were to something other than the house. We had an unusually warm January and the pollen count was high during their visit so that is one possible explanation. When you arrive there will not be dust under the beds. After 4-5 days dust can start appearing. This home is almost 4000 square feet of historic heart of pine hardwood floors. This group of women stayed a week. Regarding my children’s voices in the background during her calls, all of which were after hours, all I can say is that most guests prefer I answer my phone which is something I am known for while other management companies have an answering machine starting at 5pm. If you do call me around 6:30-7:30pm you may indeed hear my children in the background. I am still happy to help in those hours and am quite effective. I sent a maintenance man to turn on the television for this guest within 13 minutes of her call. Anyone who is upset by some background noise of my household in the evening may prefer to call back during business hours. This grand home is over 120 years old and is constantly cared for by in-town owners and highly reachable management. The long history of positive reviews is a reflection of that. We are pleased to see that even this group was able to see and point out positive aspects of the location which is truly a great and convenient area of the Historic District.
This house exceeded the expectations of our entire group. We thoroughly enjoyed both the porches and the wet bar with wine fridge did not go to waste. The supermarket being so close by made our happy hour snacks a breeze, and we were impressed with the beauty of Hall Street. We all commented on how comfortable the beds and linens were. I would book this again for a girls reunion or a family gathering without hesitation.
Great experience for me and my family. This is such a comfortable and beautiful home to come back to after exploring Savannah. We enjoyed everything about it. This was one of the nicest vacation rentals overall that we have ever stayed in, and there have been many. Check in was a breeze and the owner was friendly
We were in Savannah for my daughter's wedding and needed a house large enough to accommodate family and friends. We also used the space for the bridesmaids to dress and relax on the day of the wedding. Having a large living area, 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths made this possible. The home is lovely and was clean and well decorated. The kitchen and butler's pantry/wine bar are stocked better than any vrbo we have used in the past with dishes, pots and pans, glassware and any utensils you might need. We did some cooking and entertaining and were amazed at how well equipped the house was to enable doing so. There is even an ice maker! Loved the front porch and the screened in porch and the courtyard is gorgeous. We had beautiful weather, so when not involved in wedding festivities we enjoyed hanging out with friends on the porches. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean and spacious, this house was perfect! If we need a large house in the future we will definitely try to book. The location is fabulous on a quiet street within walking distance of Kroger, a coffee shop and Forsyth Park. If the weather is nice, you can walk to downtown/riverfront-quick drive as well. We love to visit Savannah-did a slow ride with the wedding crowd and had a blast. Have done a walking tour in the past and that is great too. Just walking through the squares and parks is a beautiful experience.
This was a beautiful home in downtown, the property was stocked with a full kitchen, coffee and the décor was well done. Kroger is across the street when exiting from the garage and there were several restaurants in walking distance. The main part of downtown was a $5 uber. Would stay there again!
The property is even more lovely than the pictures. We were a party of 7 for a friends getaway-very comfortable . Very clean, fully stocked with all amenities. The local property manager is very helpful and accommodating. The area is beautiful- there is a very quaint coffee shop on the corner and a full supermarket across the street. Close to downtown and riverfront. Beautiful area to walk, run, and bike. The pool is a lap pool and very nice. Thank you for a great stay... we would recommend this property for any type of getaway.
Rented the home for a group of 10 women on a vacation weekend - the kitchen and bathrooms were beautifully updated, and all slept comfortably! The home is certainly historic, which you can see in details such as the fireplaces in almost every room. The location is a quick walk to beautiful Forsyth Park, and around the corner from a Kroger. Also recommend a try at the coffee shop directly to the left when you exit the property (Mate Factor), such a cute, quaint spot with delicious pastries. The highlight of our stay was the dinner we shared in the vast dining room - the fully equipped kitchen had everything needed and it was lovely to enjoy a meal together one evening in the space rather than at a restaurant. Would definitely stay again!
Beautiful home! The pictures do not do it justice. The back courtyard is heaven with the plunge pool and palm trees. . So many places to escape in this house even with 8 people there was plenty of room to relax and unwind. Grocery store/liquor store/cafes all near by you can walk to them all. Best of all there is not a thing missing. We grilled and had a wonderful dinner in the beautiful dining room and there isn’t a THING you could need that’s not in the house from serving platters to Utensils to a wine fridge etc etc. All well labeled and easy to find. Beautiful glassware and dishes! I could go on and on. Famtastic. I highly recommend this property!
My friends, family, and I had an amazing stay here! We rented both the main house and the carriage house. It was BEAUTIFUL and the backyard and pool were great places to hang out in the heat! It was very easy for all of us to get ready, since there were more than enough bathrooms, mirrors, and space. The beds were super comfortable, and everything was very clean! The owner was very easy to reach if we had any questions and was SUPER friendly and helpful. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and anything else we needed! The location was absolutely PERFECT and was close to any event we had planned! I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone planning on visiting Savannah!
This property was perfect for our girls getaway week. It comfortably accommodated seven women with its well appointed kitchen, multiple bathrooms, and spacious sitting and dining areas. The location is great near trolleys stops and other Savannah sights and restaurants. I would highly recommend this home.
The house itself was huge and beautiful. The mattresses in all rooms were hard but so are hotels. The worse part is parking when we pulled our car in the garage the rock by the concrete drive was so wore down the dip was so bad I think we almost put a hole in the gas tank. If I had brought my Camaro I would not of made it in. So we left the car there the whole weekend and spent the extra 50 bucks on Lyft drivers.
As a response to this review, for future guests we would like to point out that discerning guests stay here week after week and over the years these complaints are not recurring. The pool itself is cleaned weekly and is always usable if the guest feels the temperature is right for swimming. It is not currently heated. However the "pool deck" surrounding patio concrete area is light grey and sometimes after a week or two of southern rainstorms it can quickly develop a naturally green hue. The color of the patio and wall is not a problem for the pool use and we are sorry it was displeasing to this person. The weekly cleaning of the actual pool is year round and the professionals ensure the water is ready for your refreshment. We also have a pressure washer come routinely to clean the concrete, surround, walls, patio and pathways to remove that natural green color. Additionally, driving to enter the garage bay should not cause any problems for future guests as one low point on the neighbor's property was filled in. Parking on the street is free and easy for any extra vehicles beyond the one you store in the private garage bay.
This house was perfect for a group. Great location - short Uber to restaurants near the river and the Kroger right around the corner was awesome for running out and getting last minute items. Everything was very comfortable, kitchen stocked with everything you might need (including coffee and spices).
