Shangri-La: Forsyth Park Victorian Mansion
Savannah, Georgia, United States 31401
Beautifully preserved Victorian mansion originally built in 1895 right next to Forsyth Park. Marble steps lead to the grand entry with original giant doorway. Heart of pine flooring in perfect condition throughout the home along with soaring ceilings will set the mood for a luxurious historic experience. The main living area has a living room, dining room, bedroom with King size bed, full kitchen and full bathroom with clawfoot tub/shower combination. There is also a full size brand new washer/dryer on this main level, and a spacious back porch and shared patio area to enjoy the coastal weather. On the 2nd floor you will find another King size bed in bedroom 2, and two Queen beds in bedroom 3. We have a bonus room with a twin daybed and a 2nd spacious living room on this second floor along with another full bathroom with clawfoot tub/shower combination.
The 2nd floor has a private back porch overlooking the shared courtyard. The carriage house is a detached separate rental on the other side of the courtyard which shares the patio space with this main house. *The attic of the main house is private and while not locked is roped off as inaccessible for guests and only for the owner.*
While the property offers manicured comforts and Southern panache, the surrounding neighborhood, known as the Victorian district, affirms Savannah’s status as a premiere vacation destination. The Victorian District was home to famous Revolutionary war heroes and dignitaries, including Eli Whitney and Juliette Gordon Low, founder of The Girl Scouts of America. This quaint, pristine landscape is pedestrian friendly, with quick access to guided bus tours, horse-drawn carriage rides, and The Fragrant Garden for the Blind. The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) main campus is close by, as are numerous world-class, trending restaurants offering a plethora of dining options an easy walk or bike ride away.

Eclectic and comfprtable
Beautiful older home decorated in an eclectic style. Our group of 7 was very comfortable and enjoyed the location. Walkable to the main areas with bars/restaurants/tours/etc. We had a great time!
Victorian home with style
A fabulous Victorian home, renovated with style and taste! Great family gathering places on the main and upper floors. Beautiful kitchen. Great art work. Stunning fireplaces and lighting. Loved the neighborhood. Forsyth Park is beautiful. Enjoyed the local shops. Near the Hop On- Hop Off bus.
Historic with contemporary touch
What a fun place to stay! It felt historic, yet contemporary, with so many eclectic art pieces. The house was clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was a great launching point for seeing Savannah. My college friends and I loved the house!
Perfect spot for a weekend getaway. Beautiful place, exceeded expectations. Had every extra amenity we needed. Even the non-obvious items, such as quality of mattresses had our group raving about this house. Location was perfect- close to cafes, parks, etc but also quiet. Easy to walk or take free Dot shuttle into town. I would rent again for return trip to Savannah!
Comfortable stay right next to Forsyth Park and within a mile of everything you would like to see in Savannah. 10/10 would recommend.
