Abby's Review on Airbnb
“Mary, once again you were an awesome host!! There is nothing I would change about our stay. The beds and linens were amazing. We loved them so much my mom actually wanted me to ask and see what kind they were! The list of things to do in Savannah was so helpful in planning our daily adventures. Thank you so much for opening your doors and allowing my family and I to stay! We LOVED it!”
Two thumbs up
“If you are looking for a warm, cozy and beautiful place, this is the one! The place is enchanted. Is quite, no sounds around, just the birds in the morning like a wind chime waking you up. An amazing view just in front of you to the Chatham Square. Everything clean and in place. You will not regret. Two thumbs up.!!”
Chatham Square Apartment
This place was excellent for our short weekend in Savannah. It was within walking distance of almost anything that you could want or need and the space itself was perfect. Even though parking is metered street, we never had an issue finding a spot close to the house. Very quiet with hardly any noise from the street or neighbors.
First time for my sister, niece and myself to stay more than 1 day in Savannah. The location can't be beat; you are a 2 minute walk away from Forsyth Park and a 5 minute walk away from the house featured in "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" and so many other interesting houses/sites. We were unaware how many SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) buildings there were in the city and how important SCAD has been for the revival of several historic buildings (seriously; anyone who's not from there will be like, "What is SCAD and why do I see those letters everywhere in the city?"). Wow. We booked one of the local trolley tours and learned a great deal. The drive to Tybee Island is just as everyone else says; easy and only 30 minutes away. Parking was always accessible both at Chatham Square as well as the business areas despite being in town on a busy weekend (SCAD sidewalk art festival and numerous weddings and usual nightlife). We heeded the instructions to read carefully the parking signs so as to avoid a ticket from the late-night street cleaners and did visit the visitor's center to obtain a DAYPASS for the weekdays we were there, which also was easy (have your vehicle's license plate number ready). Mary was readily available and so easy to talk to; unfortunately we had to talk with her more than necessary due to the upstairs tenant letting us know he didn't like that we had a key to the patio gate....not a very nice way to start our stay at this VRBO. The shower bathtub did not drain. That was not pleasant and made for very short showers. Otherwise, we would totally stay in this location again. Some squares in the historic district (this particular VRBO is on Chatham Square) are mainly business or a combo business/residential but Chatham Square appears and has the feel of mainly residential. Quiet and beautiful yet close to other interesting businesses and historic places. Despite the disagreeable upper level tenant and the non-functioning shower drain, we still give this a 4-star rating because the location really can't be beat and Mary was lovely. Perhaps the drain will be fixed in the meantime. Please consider staying here.
I was visiting my son over Thanksgiving. He goes to school there and I stayed for the week. The property was conveniently located and it was wonderful being able to walk everywhere. Mary was very accommodating and was easily reached through text messages. The apartment was wonderfully decorated and had a very "homey" feel. At the end of the stay, I made a few recommendations and Mary was quick to respond and take those suggestions into consideration. When we come back to visit my son again, I would definitely consider renting this property again!
This was exactly what we needed for our trip to Savannah. Having no stairs to deal with and 2 bedrooms was great. Parking was easy, even though we had to buy the Day Pass. We found a spot right near our door easily and only drove the car to buy groceries. Most of all the "kodak moments" that awaited us as we strolled around the neighborhood exceeded my expectations. We loved Savannah and would return in a heartbeat. We will stay in this apartment again if available.
