We recently stayed at this Brownstone on Jones Street and we really enjoyed our stay. the listing description was accurate and the inside of the house was clean and very well maintained. The brownstone was perfect for us and we walked every where. The house was comfortable. The kitchen is very nice and we enjoyed the private courtyard. The upstairs bedroom was very nice. The shower takes a little while to get hot water but once it gets hot you are good to go. I would recommend this property to my family and friends. We plan to be back next year. The owner was great to work with.
The property is located on Jones st., definitely the most beautiful street in Savannah! It is lined with a canopy of trees and spanish moss - a historical and beautiful feel upon arrival at this location. The property was very easy to access and very clean. The decoration was very charming and interesting to discover. Each room has a special touch or unique design - we especially liked the bathroom under the staircase! There were only 2 people in my party, however the property could most definitely fit up to 4. The check-out instructions weren't complicated or detailed - very quick process. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend it!
Stayed here November 2014, Place is very nice, decorated well, fireplace in each room, comfy bed and nice kitchen. The locations is excellent, right on Jones street. We brought our bicycles and enjoyed riding around the town seeing all the nice homes. We took the bike tour of Savannah and found it to be fun and informative way to learn about Savannah. We ate right down the street at Mrs Wilkes and it was fabulous. Nice little patio/ courtyard in the back. The weather was little chilly but still enjoyed our visit. TV did not have as many channels as we would have liked but we were there to sight see and not watch TV. We brought our Ruku and used the wireless connection for additional channel options. Would definitely stay here again if back in Savannah.
I have to say this was a perfect weekend getaway and the townhouse was awesome. It had everything I needed and the location on Jones Street was perfect as I could walk everywhere. The owner was so helpful and really made my stay special. I felt very safe and cared for and could not have asked for a better experience. I recommend this townhouse as it is truly so Savannah and perfectly located! Thanks to the owners for everything! Karen
This beautifully appointed townhome exceeded our expectations. On perhaps the most romantic street in historic Savannah, the townhome was an excellent choice for Valentine's Day weekend. The townhome was spacious with a roomy kitchen, large master suite, charming courtyard, and three working fireplaces. We couldn't have picked a better location for our weekend in Savannah.
What a wonderful property! Four of us enjoyed this beautifully decorated home for a girls weekend. It is in a great location. Within walking distance of everything. We enjoyed two of my favorite restaurants for brunch- B Matthews and Collins Quarter. We enjoyed everything from a warm cozy fire on our first evening, to enjoying an afternoon snack on the patio. The house is fully wired with surround sound which was delightful. We will definitely be returning for a stay very soon and recommending to everyone we know!
Great location within walking distance to the best of Savannah. This time of year was perfect for azalea blooms but suspect another few week would exhibit even more variety of flowers. The house was really clean with all the basic needs provided. I would definitely recommend this house, and happily return myself. Most of all, which has nothing to do with the house, but with the manager who was phenomenal I felt from the very first inquiry she would insure all would be taken care of, and if questions should arise, she was promptly available. I rent from Home Away regularly, and this was by far one of the easiest and most satisfying. Thank you.
Sitting in the perfect location between tourism and life of the locals, it's an easy and beautiful walk to downtown. The home itself was gorgeous and decorated beautifully with plenty of room to spare. We went for a small bachelorette getaway and all of the girls were very impressed! :)
The property was charming and beautiful, we especially enjoyed the private courtyard. It was also very convenient for visiting Savannah. We were able to walk to all the sites we wanted to visit in the historic district. It was nice to be able to come back in the middle of the day and rest a bit before we went back to the riverfront for shopping or out for dinner at The Pink House. The brownstone location also made it easy for day trips to gorgeous Bonaventure Cemetery and Tybee Island beach. The manager was especially welcoming and helpful. We would highly recommend the brownstone for anyone interested in visiting Savannah.
Spotless, well stocked brownstone on a very nice street. We enjoyed sitting on the patio each morning, especially after I discovered the owner's copy of "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff" and could read a few snippets each day. The book encouraged relaxation and the brownstone's atmosphere reinforced the idea. We were so close to so many sights. Absolutely perfect!

My husband and I, and our two young boys) recently stayed in the Brownstone and gad a wonderful time. It is so beautiful and comfortable. We fell in love with Savannah snd hope to stay here again! The owner was easy to communicate with and was very thorough with her recommendations!
We'd never been to Savannah before. Looked high and low to find a place and so glad to have found Sweet Georgia Brownstone. It was nicely decorated, clean and had everything we needed. We particularly wanted a gas cook stove to cook on and it was only one of a few to have one. Bicycles were provided, as well as plenty of information to orient us to places to eat, tour, and shop. You cannot go wrong if you stay at the Sweet Georgia Brownstone. When we return to Savannah, we will definitely try to stay here again.
The Sweet Georgia 'Brownstone' on Jones was superb. An absolutely beautiful, clean, well-maintained property. Great for long, early morning walks through an awe-inspiring neighborhood. Close to shops, restaurants and art galleries. This home had everything we needed and more. The Olde Pink House is a must. Loved the Coffee Fox for my daily coffee fix. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic get-away. In fact, when we come back to Savannah (when, not if), I will not be looking for any other place to stay. I found the best.
The Sweet Georgia Brownstone was lovely and charming; the photos and description are true to what you find when you arrive. The private courtyard was a great addition to this property and was my favorite place for morning coffee. Put on your walking shoes......this Brownstone is very convenient for touring Savannah as you can walk to most of the sites. We took a day trip to Bonaventure Cemetery and Tybee Island beach as they are both in the same direction. Bonaventure is a must see, it's hauntingly beautiful. Tybee Island is family oriented, no commercial activity on the beach, just the way we like it. For a laid back atmosphere for lunch, we liked B. Mathews on Bay Street. Topdeck on the riverfront is a great place for a cocktail while you watch the sunset. If I had to fill in a negative space, I guess it would be that the 1/2 bath under the stairway on the first floor is not quite usable for a larger/taller person. My husband is 6' 1" and it was a very tight fit for him. Also, I would like to see more towels supplied, we laundered them twice in four days.
Fabulous vacation. The "brownstone" was perfect. We were visiting our son who is stationed in Savannah and heading out for a six month deployment. So great to spend time with him in such a perfect, relaxing townhouse. Great location able to walk to everything, plenty of room for 3 to stay, did not need to use the pull out couch, and had two guests for lunch and morning coffee, just perfect. The " beacon hill" style back yard very relaxing, great for morning coffee and planning our day. Janet over the top accommodating as I left my favorite sweatshirt there and it arrived at my house two days after I returned, so grateful. Would highly recommend this rental to anyone visiting Savannah will definitely stay again.
This place was really charming and located perfectly. We were in town for a wedding at Forsyth Park and this is located perfectly close to both Forsyth Park and downtown Savannah/River Street/City Market, yet away from the noise and crowds. It was VERY clean, well decorated and the back patio is awesome! We love this place. Also, great communication from the owner.
Our company of three adults stayed in "Brownstone" for two nights, and totally enjoyed our time. The place is well stocked with all essentials; you only need to bring your personal items. Townhouse feels very "homey", and is nicely decorated."Brownstone" is located in the middle of everything, right in the center of Savannah's Historic district. Kroger supermarket is only a few blocks away - a short 5-10 min walk. I totally enjoying going there early in the morning, taking a different route every time, and snapping a tone of pictures of Victorian houses - I could not have enough of them!If the trip to grocery shop felt like a walk in history, imagine everything else. I will have to stop here; otherwise, I will end up with a novel.Just one more thing, the owner, provided all information we needed, but in all fairness, everything was so well set up, that we only needed the lockbox code to enjoy our stay.
The property was fantastic and very well managed. It was easy to walk to great restaurants, coffee shops, and historical homes/sites. The listing description was accurate and the property was very clean and well-maintained. We had accidental damage of a furniture item and working with the manager was professional, easy and lovely. I strongly recommend this property to anyone who wants to get a feel for the architecture of the area and being within walking distance of historic Savannah.
My sister and I stayed 3 days at the Brownstone and our stay was absolutely perfect. The house is awesome. The pictures can't really do the house justice…it's a must see for yourself. The location is ideal: easy walking to everything, yet quiet and peaceful, even when sitting out in the beautiful private courtyard. The house was immaculate and had everything one would need. We didn't cook, as we ate all our meals out, but it was well stocked, if one preferred to stay in and cook. The house was stocked with a lot of information that travelers appreciate. The management was so easy to work with and very efficient in our transactions. I would definitely recommend this listing to friends and family. Always have loved Savannah and love it even more now that I've found this place to stay!! Sharon
The "Sweet Georgia Brownstone" exceeded our expectations. The home was beautiful, very comfortable, and in a perfect location. Only a mile to the River and less than half a mile to Forsythe park. We parked our car on arrival and did not use it again until our departure. We were in Savannah for Rock n Roll Race and it was awesome to be within 10 minute walk to the finish line. The neighborhood was beautiful also. We will definitely try to stay here again on our next Savannah trip.
Very nice one bedroom house in a great location. Free parking on the street - the prettiest street. Walk to everything yet quiet residential neighborhood.Pretty walled garden in back is a plus. The manager, responded quickly to a problem with the television on arrival. I would highly recommend this rental.
We loved the house it was so nice in a nice location and the courtyard was very comfortable. We plan to stay again River walk was in walking location we rented a car and had no problem finding free parking. The Hostess was so nice. Thanks the Kutzler's Rydal Pa.
My husband and I had a very short visit to Savannah. We spent very little time in the brownstone but enjoyed having a home over a hotel room at the end of the day. I base my rentals on reviews and have stayed in several VRBO's in the US, Mexico and Europe. This property has several well deserved five star reviews. I read a one star review days before checking in which had me very nervous. This is a historic home filled with character and charm. The property was clean and everything we needed was available. The property manager, was prompt with all communications before, during and after our rental. We noticed a chair that had a broken leg on checkin and reported this finding.Manager took care of this within minutes of our arrival and delivered two new designer chairs. We parked our car and walked to everything we wanted to see. Jones street is a lovely street to call home in Savannah. I would recommend this rental.ML
This is a lovely home and is furnished very tasteful, comfortable and extremely clean. Janet was kind enough to let us check in early since we arrived there earlier than we expected and the house was aleady clean so that worked out great. You have everything here you would have at home. We didn't cook much but if you needed to everything is there for you to do so. The bed was very comfortable upstairs and the master is quite large, there is also an alcove with a daybed. It was nice to come back after a day of sightseeing and sit in the back patio. We are walkers so we parked the car and never used it until we left. There is parking on the street so it isn't a problem. It was located well, however you are about 4 or 5 blocks from Bull Street which was our main walk into town or down to Forsyth Park etc. There were restaurants that were walking distance and we found a little gourmet market we picked up a few things on our way home from the city market. We would definitely stay here again if we were to visit Savannah and I would highly recommend it to friends.
I visited the Brownstone for a girls weekend with my mom. This was our second trip to Savannah, and our stay in the Brownstone definitely made this one the best. The home was more beautiful than the pictures! My mom and I enjoyed all of the furnishings and decorations throughout the house, lots of attention to detail and charm! The home was very clean and we had everything we needed during our stay. We were especially thankful to find two umbrellas available for us to use, since we forgot to pack our own. The entire house is fully stocked with anything you might need during your stay. We had a good amount of rain over the weekend, and the Brownstone was a wonderful place to wait out the storm. The location is perfect, and within walking distance to many squares, shops and restaurants. We also used the Old Town Trolley On/Off tour to get around town. They have two stops close to the Brownstone, so I would recommend this to anyone who wants to learn more about the city or may not be able to walk long distances (like my mom). Owner checked in on us frequently during our stay, and we appreciate everything she did for us.We would love to stay here again and will recommend it to anyone visiting Savannah!
the house is very welcoming and had almost all the supplies we needed from laundry detergent to paper towels. my wife and i felt very comfortable there and it was close to the trolley stops for sightseeing. the backyard area was very nice to sit in and have a glass of wine or beer and little snacks and just enjoy the surroundings. we would come in a heartbeat. thanks for making this vacation memorable. sincerely jim and lisa hennessey green bay wi
I rented this beautiful brownstone for a bachelorette party for my dear friend. We absolutely adored all of the personal and homey touches this rental had, it made us feel very welcome! The rental was clean and spacious and had everything you might need to feel right at home! Savannah is such a beautiful and fun place to vacation and this brownstone was in the PERFECT spot to walk to it all! Everything worked out so smoothly and ended up being the most perfect place to stay for our special visit! Thank you so much!!
Our family of five had a wonderful stay at the Savannah Brownstone. The owner provided all of the comforts of home in a gorgeously decorated apartment. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to visit in the historic downtown area with our children who are 6 years and under. Our family loved staying here so much and I hope we can return soon. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Savannah.
My family spent a long weekend in September in Savannah at the sweet Georgia brownstone. The location of the brownstone is perfectly situated in the heart of historic Savannah on what Southern Living has called the prettiest street in America. And boy are they right! Jones Street has beautiful old live oaks dripping in Spanish moss and stately historic homes. The brownstone couldn't be more charming and met all of our needs. The house was immaculately clean, with plenty of towels, sheets, and even fresh coffee and bottled water. The downstairs has a great kitchen with all the cooking equipment you need and where we cooked several meals, a comfy living room with TV and large cable package, and a half bath. Outside is a charming back patio where we ate dinner both nights under a beautiful canopy of trees and twinkle lights. Upstairs is a large master bedroom, walk in closet, and "sleeping porch" which was perfect sized for our daughter. Janet was a wonderful and responsive host. And Savannah was beautiful, the weather was great, and we walked everywhere within 10 min of the brownstone. We will be back often and I highly recommend this house for anyone looking to stay in Savannah!
The house was beautiful, spacious, and on a very nice, quiet street. It's in a very walkable area -- we walked to river street, Forsyth park, city market, and everywhere in between. Plenty of linens and towels were provided. A book listing things to do in Savannah as well as stores and restaurants nearby was a particularly nice touch. The outdoor patio was great for breakfast. We would definitely stays here again. Overall a great experience!
"Sweet Georgia Brownstone" is a fully appointed home, decorated in keeping with it's history. The back garden is a great place for a barbecue and an evening drink. The unit is within easy walking of the historical district and the river walk.Make sure and visit the Rock cafe/bar on top of the Bohemian Hotel. Easy entry and an enjoyable stay.Lee and Diane
A total of 5 of us came to Savannah for a bachelorette weekend getaway. The property had everything we could want. We loved having coffee on the gorgeous patio in the mornings. The stereo system allows you too hook up your phone and play music throughout the house through built in speakers. We enjoyed having room to stretch out and felt very comfortable. There is only one shower, but that didn't pose any problems during our short stay, we just had to plan who would shower when. Janet was accessible throughout our stay if we had any questions. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend this property to anyone coming to Savannah!
We stayed here with 2 kids (10 and 14 y.o.) during 2016 Spring break week when azaleas were in full bloom. Brownstone on Jones is a great location for Savannah visit.Pros:The street is a classic Savanna's beauty with oak alley. Not too many tourists around this house, so you can still park your car, but location is close enough to many of the main attractions in the city. The kitchen is small, but equipped enough to put a decent dinner together and enjoy it on the patio outside (local Kroger is within a walking distance). The master bedroom upstairs is far more comfortable than downstairs and our daughter loved the sleeping nook on the second floor. The house is beautifully decorated and very clean. Cons: If you have to unfold the sleeper in the living room, there might be not enough space to unpack your bags. Taking your luggage upstairs on the staircase might be a challenge for someone. The space might be little tight for four adults and we would not recommend it for elderly visitors, because of the stair. We would love to stay here again, but as a smaller group of 2 or 3 people. Overall we had a great impression about Brownstone on Jones and would recommend it to anyone.
We loved this place!! Savannah is wonderful and this brownstone adds to the charm, perfect location, everything in walking distant. You can get your 10,000 in( with views) or take uber anywhere (didnt rent a car) only warning! Went to Tybee Island on Orange Crush weekend "spring break weekend" nuf said.. After walking thru the parks or getting an uber ride to the river it was a pleasure coming "home" and relaxing on the patio or the wonderful tub. Can't say enough, Love it!!
We enjoyed this beautiful HomeAway during parents weekend at SCAD. It was convenient to our daughter's apartment, the grocery store, activities in Forsyth Park and events at the college. Loved the BBQ grill and relaxing in the courtyard. Parking was easy and owner was quick to respond to our questions and concerns. The jetted tub was a bonus after a long day on our feet! Thanks for sharing your home!
We stayed here three nights and when we pulled up this house welcomed us with open arms. We enjoyed walking and taking in the every day lives within the historic district but the busy area was just blocks away to be enjoyed. My friend took the bed and I took the sleeping porch. We had plenty of room and the house just worked for us!! I would stay here again...easily!
Our family had a wonderful stay in your lovely home. We loved the decor and its authenticity in historic Savannah. We loved the walkability to the surrounding squares, so we could easily tour and be immersed in Savannahs old southern charm. Thank you for being available to your guests - it brought us ease to know we were well take care of! Thank you again!
The place is very well located and very cute. My wife and I were there with our 3 kids. It is a little small - but it worked for us. We had a great time. The place is very convenient for walking in the historic district. We were very pleased with the place. It had everything we needed
We had a fantastic time staying in this lovely condo. Renting is so easy , organized, and friendly. All the convenience of home. Location is walking distance to everywhere on the historical district. The condo is beautifully decorated and supplied with the necessities to make a relaxing and comfortable stay. Highly recommend it.
My wife and visited Savannah for the first time this past October. We were delighted to see that all the Historic Districts must see's were within walking distance for us. The only time we drove anywhere was to go to Tybee and Fort Pulaski. The Brownstone has everything one would need to have a very comfortable stay. Savannah is a wonderful city and we are looking forward to returning soon.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming brownstone on Jones. It is wonderfully located in walking distance of everything you might want to access in the Historic District. The house is comfortable and appealing and just met our needs for a relaxing stay without being excessive. Loved the true historical feeling of the home.
Staying at "Sweet Georgia Brownstone" was a good experience. The location is perfect to be close to everything, but far enough away from the crowds. Parking was not a problem on the street as it is on a corner and you have several places to park close. There is plenty of room in the master bedroom and the kitchen is well equipped. I gave it 5 stars because i think it deserves it.
We had everything we could possibly need or want...cooler for the beach? Yep. Citronella candle for the courtyard? Of course. Makeup remover towelettes? Absolutely. The home is gorgeous and close to everything, but it was all the small touches that really made this so special. Oh, and beds/sheets were A+ so superior to a hotel.
Good location. Nice quiet street, yet quite walkable to River St and downtown. Very comfortable.
